My original purchase was for a 2022 Malibu. When I went to pick it up, after putting down $3500, the engine light came on. Fast forward to present day and my car is currently in the shop with a quote of $1800 to be fixed and an almost $700 car payment. I'm absolutely pissed that not even 2 months later my car is having issues that the extended warranty they gave me won't even cover. Mind you...it's the xxxx holidays, i have no vehicle and who the xxxx has $1800 just sitting around to spend on a car that SHOULD NOT HAVE ISSUES! I'm not gonna say don't purchase from them but what I will say is BEWARE! More
Wife researched used SUVs and found a 2018 Explorer. I called at 10 A.M. to make an appointment to see it at 6P.M. Was told the vehicle would be in Rosedale by noon. Drove an hour after work to dealersh I called at 10 A.M. to make an appointment to see it at 6P.M. Was told the vehicle would be in Rosedale by noon. Drove an hour after work to dealership. No vehicle. Told by staff, it would be here in 30 minutes. We went through trade-in inspection while we waited. Good offer on trade. 7 P.M. No Vehicle. Asked for manager. Was told "it's on its way. Be here soon". 8 P.M. No Vehicle. Time passes, manager offers me a discount on their extended warranty for a vehicle I have yet to see "for my inconvenience" and a bottle of water. Vehicle arrives around 8:30, about 2 1/2 hours late. Checked it out in the dark with my flashlight. Vehicle was great, low miles, good price. Traded mine, transferred my tags. Brought a certified check and some cash to work with, asked in beginning if there would be an issue if check was for too much. "No Sir, we can cut you a check for the difference tonight". They didn't. Claimed they couldn't. Manager is gone for the night. It'll be FedEx'd as soon as my CERTIFIED check clears. Around 9:45 I drive off into the night in a very nice, pre-owned Explorer. But wait ! There's more! Days later, my insurance company tells me MDOT won't accept coverage, VIN# issue. Call dealership, ask about this and my delayed refund. Told MDOT is just slow and "corporate" will issue the check when they get to it. (!?) This generates several calls back and forth. Days later I get a copy of some paperwork with a note attached. Highlighted in bright pink, they want a copy of my insurance immediately before I can come down and sign for my new plates and refund check. Uh, what? You TRANSFERRED my plates. Turns out,I was charged for NEW REG. 3 or 4 calls over the next 3 or so days. Maria did a fine job sorting it out. I got my refund, in the mail, on overage and registration difference. Bottom Line: Vehicle condition, price and Trade-In were great. Cons: Your time means nothing to them. We toughed it out was the deal, wife had researched for a while and the deal was good. Not good enough for another visit,ever, but still a good deal. More
