Customer for Life I had purchased a car from Donaldsons almost a year and a half ago and was happy with my purchase. Due to unfortunate events, I needed a new car. Obvi I had purchased a car from Donaldsons almost a year and a half ago and was happy with my purchase. Due to unfortunate events, I needed a new car. Obviously returning to Donaldsons thinking I would be walking out with one car, all It takes is that one sales guy that sees you as a person and not just a sale. We were not planning to see Rick, he just happened to say hello while I was eye balling the Tiguan in the show room. After he showed us where I could look at more VW’s, I knew I needed to go back and talk to him! From the second I sat In his office Rick listened to all the things I needed and wished for in a car, but also within my budget. I have never felt so comfortable or happy with an experience, and there need to be more Ricks in the car sales world. I will tell everyone about this experience and my family already knows Rick is our new go to guy! I can’t wait to come back to Donaldsons, thank you Rick for everything! I have such a good piece of mind knowing how much you cared about getting me into this Tiguan! :-) More

Got ripped off by service department I brought my car there after doing some repairs myself to get proper programming done as epc light was still on. An hour of labor and they didnt fix i I brought my car there after doing some repairs myself to get proper programming done as epc light was still on. An hour of labor and they didnt fix it, told me it would cost me more to find problem. I left. I posted it on a vw forum and someone gave me the info to fix, steering wheel was not coded right. I went back to complain and ask for my money back as the issue clearly should have been fixed by them. Got the rudest response from customer service, basically accusing me of all sorts of things and openly saying there was a statute of limitations on them ripping me off. Unreal. Stay away from this service department, far, far away... I gave one star because I'm not sure a zero would register, which is what this service department is, zero.... In reply to your (dealer) comments, it is you misrepresenting the facts. I came to you after changing the clockspring and said I had disconnected the battery to do the clock spring, and I need whatever programming needs to be done due to battery disconnect. Whatever programming needed due to battery disconnect.. This is the part you seem to be missing, that is why I came in, to get WHATEVER programming needed to be done DUE TO DISCONNECTING BATTERY!. Your service department misinterpreted this and supposedly coded only the clock spring. I say supposedly because that was probably already coded correctly, so your service department did nothing. When I saw the EPC light was still on, I complained because I knew it was a programming issue, which is why I brought the car there in the first place, to get WHATEVER PROGRAMMING NEEDED TO BE DONE DUE TO THE DISCONNECTED BATTERY!!. The service guy told me it would cost more money to investigate the EPC light. I left aggravated that I was dealing with clearly incompetent people who were trying to take more money to fix the issue I just paid to fix, and it was not done. Yes, it took some time for me to readdress the issue. It's my girlfriends car and I rarely drive it. When we brought it recently for you to investigate the transmission issue, first off I am not happy because you quoted us $6800 because you claim it needed a transmission. Transmission shop replaced the Mechatronic unit and car is fine for several weeks now, no codes, works great, problem solved, $1700, but that just adds to why I gave you 1 star. Back to the programming issue. At this time I realized the EPC light was still on and decided to pursue again. I posted a scan of the car on a Ross-Tech forum (https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?18214-2013-jetta-hybrid-EPC-light-on-since-reparing-clockspring&highlight=2013+jetta) and received an answer that my Steering Wheel control module was incorrectly programmed, and the user provided me with the correct coding. Once I used the Ross Tech tool and entered the correct code for the steering wheel module, the EPC light went out immediately, and a subsequent scan showed several error codes gone. I came to complain that your dealership had wronged me by not performing the basic coding that I knew was the cause of the EPC light, and now I had proved it. Your response was to try and tell me that's not why I came in, and that the coding had nothing to do with the EPC light. So, 14 months of light on, and magically the stars align at exactly the moment I entered that code and the problem causing the light fixed itself, they were unrelated, that is your claim. Seriously? Hard to say if you are willfully lying, or incompetent in your knowledge of the car. The incorrect coding of the steering wheel module caused an error in the engine module: 4332 - Check Coding of ECUs on Powertrain Data Bus P1647 00 [167] - - [Checking coding/versions ofcontrol modules in drivetrain] This engine error is what turned on the EPC light. The steering wheel control module is an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) on the powertrain data bus, and if coded incorrectly, clearly causes an engine error that says exactly that.. You want to maintain that the incorrect steering wheel coding won't cause an EPC light go right ahead, it convinces me even more of your incompetence and the reason I will not be going there anymore. In summary, I brought the car and said I needed whatever programming necessary due to the battery being disconnected. Turns out, the steering wheel was not coded correctly, this was causing my EPC light, and you failed to fix it. The dealership failed to fix the problem that I brought the car there and paid for, and had no interest in resolving my dissatisfaction. My 1 star rating and low opinion of your dealership service department stands firm. More

I never expected to fall in love with my new Tiguan. Our salesman was Rob Cassero. He was very informative, yet easygoing. No pressure, or the usual car dealer games that we have dealt with at most other dealerships. He kept his word on everything he told us. We got a great deal and walked out in disbelief at just how smooth and easy our experience was! Can’t recommend Rob or Donaldson’s enough! More
