I searched for a week in a 100 mile radius for a used CPO 2016 Subaru Legacy Premium. This dealer had the lowest price in a 100 miles of me. Vehicle had 8300 miles and the price beat every other dealer by thousands. The sales associate Jen was phenomenal. The dealership was extremely busy for a Saturday afternoon. I was greeted right away, and was set up with the sales associate. Jen listened to all of my concerns, and answered all of my questions., despite taking care of multiple customers. The dealership closed at 6pm but Jen stayed late until the deal was done. More

From the minute I walked in the first time to the time I picked up my vehicle , the experience was flawless. Christopher is an expert in the Subaru product , he had me test drive several vehicles and we picked out the one that was perfect for my needs. Christopher found the exact vehicle I wanted and had it at the dealership ready to go with a few days. The vehicle was prepped perfectly. Christopher even made a point of transferring all of my items from my old car to the new Subaru , I didn’t even ask. I was very impressed. Christopher even installed my ez pass in the new vehicle. I am very please with my new vehicle and even more please that I connected with Chris and the staff at East Hills Subaru. Great work !!!!!! More

Scam artists Well, first of all back in February of 2016 I bought a Subaru Forester for $38,000 with all the bells and whistles and gave East Hills a rave review. Well, first of all back in February of 2016 I bought a Subaru Forester for $38,000 with all the bells and whistles and gave East Hills a rave review. But here is what you probably already know, when they are making a sale they will do anything including spit and polish your shoes to make that sale. But as soon as those papers are signed and you pull out of their parking lot (which is no easy task) the romance is over. First of all let me tell you to beware... the rear air vents above the tires are open space. So last winter a nest of squirrels made a home in the rear of my car during a snow storm in the rear of the car under the carpet. The bill was $6000.00 to repair. There is a flaw in the design that would allow rodents into the cabin of the car. My wonderful auto body shop installed metal grates on the vents at no extra cost to me. When I went to East Hills they literally shrugged their shoulders and told me to call Subaru America and wrote the # on a sticky. I called Subaru America and they said they could only send me a certificate for a couple of hundred dollars and pass along my suggestion to their design team. Now get this.......four days later they sent me a vacuum cleaner!!! Like a slap in the face, I guess it was for vacuuming up the rodent xxxx. Ok, back to East Hills service department. I brought the car in for regular maintenance and told them I had a grinding noise when I first started the car cold, and then it went away. After service was complete the service rep said the techs heard the noise but didn't know what it was, which is xxxxxxxx because the noise only happens when the car is cold. They said there was nothing they could do. I got home and got a text from the service manager asking if I was happy with the service and text back with any concerns. I did just that, asking if they were going to take responsibility if the situation got worse and not say it was my neglect. One week.....no response. I sent another text and another. no answer. I called service and asked the name of the General Manager. She said David. I asked for the last name and she said she was not allowed to give that out. I asked for David's fax or text , she said she was not allowed to give that out. She said David would call me after 2pm. 5 days later and I still haven't heard from 'David'. I did get a text from that text # saying sorry they missed my text. I explained the situation very civilly and told him it wasn't one text, it was three texts. And he never got back to me. So much for my romance with East Hills Subaru. I was planning to upgrade to an Outback or Ascent at East Hills. I have Metric Subaru dealership 1/2 a mile from my house and will go there to make my purchase instead of going based on reviews. I am guessing East Hills is a conglomerate of dealerships and will forward my concerns to both Subaru America and East Hills. Never xxxx off a J.A.P. with time on her hands. BTW - I took my car to a gas station mechanic and he found the problem in about 2 minutes. Fixed it and it cost me 10 bucks. More

Great experience overall, with one exception After an initial visit and discussion with one of the sales consultants, we were given a fair deal for a lease of a new Forester. Our main contact on After an initial visit and discussion with one of the sales consultants, we were given a fair deal for a lease of a new Forester. Our main contact on that first visit was Darren who was great to work with, friendly and knowledgeable. Once everything was agreed, we went back the following week to pick up the car. Darren was not in that day and we worked with his colleagues Sam and Steve (who we had also met the first time) as well as Phil. Steve was very helpful and explained the basics of the vehicle and went through the different service and support options. Phil was also very helpful in guiding us through the paperwork and documentation. The reason I am knocking one star of the rating was because of our interaction with Sam. From the beginning, he started questioning our agreed arrangement from the previous week and, even though we had agreed to pay more as a down payment to include some fees, he kept questioning this and saying these fees were payable in addition to the agreed down payment. That may normally be the case, but as we had not bought a car before in NY, we did not know exactly how the fees worked and had requested an all-encompassing down payment quote to include everything. We had been given a verbal (and written) agreement by someone from one of his colleagues and his manager that Sam was now questioning. Worse than that, he quickly became very rude and kept interrupting us and talking over us, not letting us give him our version of the events and the discussions that had taken place the week before - in his absence. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but this does not justify such unacceptable behavior. It is also plain awful customer service. In the end it was all sorted out by his colleagues and manager, however his attitude spoiled an overall great experience with everyone else at this dealership. Hopefully it was a one-off, but at the very least an apology (which was never received) would have been appreciated. Many thanks again to Darren, Steve and Phil! More
