Dear Dandy1234, Jeff is a really good salesperson and his customers traditionally love his salesmanship. Jeff's role is to sell the vehicle and to know the features of the vehicles he sells. He does not speak for our financing department. Our finance department shops your loan to multiple banks to get you the best rate -- based on your credit -- with as few stipulations as possible. I'm told the rate you are paying is low, considering the November 2021 rate for a similar term increased to 2.49% and the rate today (2/28/22) is 2.9%. Traditionally we book oil changes at 6 months, sooner if the driving habits of the customer warrant it, but, booking a 3,000 mile oil change on a vehicle that takes full synthetic oil is not necessary. You wrote that our service department never calls back even when you have an issue, but a sentence later, when you mentioned we offered you a free oil change, it must have been after we called you back and after we felt the incidents leading up to the call warranted the offering of a free oil change to rebuild trust in us. I'm proud of our team for standing up to any mistakes. There was a piece of plastic by the gas pedal that was broken. We wrote you a "We Owe" at delivery which technically means that we owe you to repair this item -- which we did. I'm sorry you feel this purchase was the biggest mistake of your life. Totally understand you want to reply for people to see but let’s be clear about a few things -1) was “guaranteed” 0% financing.. which apparently wasn’t a thing for the car we had. You should speak with your sales rep before they make such promises. 2) You clearly have now looked up the purchase - the free oil change is included in the purchase of the vehicle, no one offered me anything, no one called me back. This wasn’t a “do good”. The oil change was apparently scheduled for us the day we bought the car (without even consult I just got an email) it wasn’t a “we did the right thing” moment, you give the oil change to everyone that wasn’t offered for any inconvenience . 3) the broken piece of plastic is still broken.. delivered broken to me, brand new factory ordered top model car broken, so not sure where you believe it was fixed? I haven’t been back to your dealership, not even to pick up my sun shades that were never ordered when we ordered the vehicle. that is the “we owe” you have in the system , which I have called about a few times with no response. So just gave up and bought my own sunshades Totally understand you wanting to cover yourself for the public .. but .. since like I said you have now obviously looked up the purchase so you have my contact info.. you could have sent this via email instead of publicly to try and show that you “did the right thing”

Dear Dandy1234, I'm so sorry for my delayed response. I wanted to speak with your salesperson first hand before responding. There was no financing offer of 0% APR on a 2022 Subaru Forester. If this was communicated to you at any time in any manner, I apologize. Jeff is confident he never mentioned this was available; however you are telling me it was said. Free oil changes are not included. We offer a 30% off discount. Annual NYS inspections are complimentary for as long as you own the car. I misspoke about the broken piece of plastic. I was told we fixed it, but when I questioned further after your reply, I was told we were had committed to fixing it. That was my mistake. The sun shades are not a We Owe. You were instructed to come and see Jeff to order the sun shades when you came in to get the brake pendal cover repaired -- as the shades were on backorder. Jeff forgot to call and remind you. And he didn't see you come in to get the pedal cover repaired. I don't care about covering myself in public. I care about the truth.
