they always say that only people with bad experiences write reviews. So i am going to tell you about the great time i had at East Hills. From the moment i walked in i was treated with respect and everyon write reviews. So i am going to tell you about the great time i had at East Hills. From the moment i walked in i was treated with respect and everyone was very professional. My sales Mike Kennedy was knowledgeable and generally wanted to help me by a car. I was given a fair price on the car to begin with ( i know because i had already been to several dealers and didn't have half as good experience ). I didn't purchase the car that day , but Mike followed up with me via email and by phone to make sure i didn't have any questions. A week later i went back and took delivery of my new Jeep Wrangler. I saw an ad on Autotrader for a vehicle I had been looking for for months. Although out of state I thought the sale would go well.NOT These people took a deposit in August, the remainder of the cost looking for for months. Although out of state I thought the sale would go well.NOT These people took a deposit in August, the remainder of the cost on Sept 10th and refused to release the vehicle to me because they said it needed to be registered first. I called the NY registry the Ma registry where I live and the lein holder and all told me I could register the car myself. When taking the vehicle out for a test drive I told the salesman Charile that the car is pulling to the right and he replied it's the road. The car hadn't been detailed and had stains in the carpet and I told Charlie I wanted them cleaned. I had to send them more money to pay for a currier and my registration and taxes. I tried to pick up the car on Oct 2nd after talking to Charlie and he saying the car was all set. Almost to the dealership I called again to ask them to pick me up at the car rental place and was told by Roger that my plates hadn't come in yet and they weren't going to release the car to me until the plates arrived. I got a call from Charlie on Oct 8th saying my plates had come in and when was I going to pick up the car. On Oct 6th my insurance agent had called me to let me know the car had been registered the day before. Oct 11th I flew to NY to get my car. They hadn't cleaned the carpets the car still pulls to the right and I was so mad all I could do was get out of there... Never I mean Never go to this dealership. More
I bought a certified pre-owned car here, Certified meant absolutely nothing. My brakes were shot and needed replacing within 3k miles, my tires were cupped, and the battery went dead all within a month. I absolutely nothing. My brakes were shot and needed replacing within 3k miles, my tires were cupped, and the battery went dead all within a month. I worked with the dealership manager in good faith after getting all of these put into writing by a Jeep dealership in my area and they refused to settle, or even make the smallest concession. You can trust me when I write this. If you buy a car from East Hills, once you sign the papers, you are on your own. More
THIS DEALERSHIP IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!!! MY HUSBAND AND SON WENT TO LOOK AT A PRE-OWNED JEEP SRT AND NOT ONLY WAS THE SALESMAN RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS THEY SHOWED THE JEEP WITH FISHING POLES STILL IN IT (BECAU SON WENT TO LOOK AT A PRE-OWNED JEEP SRT AND NOT ONLY WAS THE SALESMAN RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS THEY SHOWED THE JEEP WITH FISHING POLES STILL IN IT (BECAUSE A SALESMAN WAS USING IT). THEY SAT FOR OVER 45 MINUTES, THEN THEY TOOK A $200 DEPOSIT BECAUSE MY SON WAS TRAVELING AND WANTED TIME TO THINK-2 DAYS LATER THE CHECK WAS CASHED--MY SON HAD CONTACTED THEM AND TOLD THEM HE WAS NO LONGER INTERESTED IN THE CAR 3 DAYS AFTER THE VISIT (JUNE 4TH) AND AFTER 18 PHONE CALLS THE CHECK WAS RETURNED TO US, DATED JULY 7TH!!!! 33 DAYS AFTER!!WE TRAVELED FROM WESTCHESTER COUNTY TO SEE THIS CAR--NEVER AGAIN TO THIS DEALERSHIP--RIGHT FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM-THEY WERE UNPROFESSIONAL. WE'VE PURCHASED TWO OTHER VEHICLES IN THAT TIME SPAN-A BMW AND A FORD EXPLORER AND WAS TREATED AS WE ARE USED TO WITH CLASS! WE OWN 7 VEHICLES AND NEVER HAVE DEALT WITH PEOPLE LIKE THIS. WHAT A DISGRACE AND AN EMBARRASSMENT TO OTHER CHRYSLER JEEP DEALERSHIPS!!! More
Edward Whiffen says he has been in the business 24 years, and he has come to the conclusion the customer is almost always wrong. He deeply resents people who come to his showroom to try to negotiate the best and he has come to the conclusion the customer is almost always wrong. He deeply resents people who come to his showroom to try to negotiate the best price on a new car for their hard-earned money. He will flat out tell you that the problem with the business is people who come in to a new car showroom looking for a better price than the "fair" price they are given by the sales rep. I think poor Ed needs to find a new line of work where he does not have to interact with people, or, he may need anger management therapy to deal with those potential customers who have the audacity to make an offer lower than the "fair" price he will give you. Don't even think about challenging the "fairness" of his price, since he will accuse you of trying to elminate the profit the dealership is entitled to. The trouble is, consumers have no idea how dealers price their cars, making the buying experience problematic and tedious at best. Car dealers have created their own pricing mess, but Mr. Whiffen certainly doesn't see it this way. My brief encounter with him was unpleasant, and you may wish to avoid this experience. He is the new car salesman version of the famous Seinfeld "Soup Nazi". For the unfamiliar, this was a man who ran a soup deli. If a customer did the slightest thing to annoy him, he would refuse to sell to them. "No car for you!!" More
We brought in our Jeep for a service recall and was called back and told there was another problem that had to be taken care of. I called my personal mechanic and got a price and when I called Jeep ba called back and told there was another problem that had to be taken care of. I called my personal mechanic and got a price and when I called Jeep back they said they would do the job for the same price. After we agreed on the price they called back after the job was started and told me that they had to charge me more to fix something else. They never told me at any time before the job was started that there could be a possiblilty that this would cost more. I said to them at this point not to do the work and I would bring it to my own mechanic. They responed that they would not release my car to me unless we paid for 2 hours of time!! I called my own mechanic and he said that I definitely should have been advised that there could be another problem that could cost more. The help there was extremely unprofessional and when I asked the manager to speak to her boss (apparently the owner, a Mr. Ken Bradley I think his name is) she said he wasn/t there. I asked if I could get a call back from him within the hour and she laughed in my face!!!!!! I honesty feel that they were trying to make the money for the repairs to make up for the cost of repairing what should have been a free repair for a recall. I would advise all potential customers to this dealer to take your car elseware for repairs and if taken in for a recall and told they have to perform addtional work...RUN... don/t walk to pick up your car and have someone else do the repairs......
