Was offered 3K under Galves and 5K under KBB for trade-in Let me start by saying I buy a new or used car every year. Either for me or my wife. I'm a car junkie and I am no stranger to the business. I M Let me start by saying I buy a new or used car every year. Either for me or my wife. I'm a car junkie and I am no stranger to the business. I Met with Gus in sales and Used Car Manager Scott. Now, let's get started. Galves is one of the tools used by used car managers in the northeast to estimate wholesale value of a customer's trade. It gets it's data from recent car auctions and is distributed to dealers monthly (subscription). In the guide there are 2 numbers the lowest one sold at a recent auction for (repo, dirty Carfax, accident, high mileage, etc) and a high number. If the car is low mileage you are supposed to add 12.5 per mile under the expected mileage. That is Galves 101 as they aren't going to list all the mileage combinations. They know this, but expect WE don't. They offered me $300 under the low number listed in Galves (my car is one owner, clean Carfax, never an accident, has 4K miles on it, and is white pearl in color (not brown or gold). They also conveniently forgot to add the $2,300 for being way under mileage. There are instructions in the guide for this. Dealers know this stuff! So Galves says my car is worth $26,600 based on recent auction data if you based it on the lowest auction sale and add in the under mileage and I was offered 24K! I asked for 27K which is lowest possible Gavles #, added mileage + $400 as it's one owner, clean carfax, no accidents etc. and was sent packing. I understand the difference between retail and wholesale, but $2,600k under Galves wholesale is a bit extreme. I've always been able to negotiate to get to the middle of Galves high and low number and get the extra miles. My car usage is extremely low. To my knowledge wholesale guides lower than Galves do not exist which is why dealers in the northeast love to use them. More

2nd Consecutive Lease from East Hills Chevrolet I had a really great experience at East Hills Chevrolet. I was called 6 months before my lease expired and was in a new Chevy Trax just a couple of d I had a really great experience at East Hills Chevrolet. I was called 6 months before my lease expired and was in a new Chevy Trax just a couple of days later. They paid the rest of my payments and Ricardo was a pleasure to deal with. PURCHASE (LEASE) OF FOURTH CONSECUTIVE CAR FROM EAST HILLS I have now obtained four successive cars from East Hills Chevrolet. In the case of the first three, Andy Boyes was the sales person. That's not a coin I have now obtained four successive cars from East Hills Chevrolet. In the case of the first three, Andy Boyes was the sales person. That's not a coincidence. I went back to Andy each time because he is very helpful and deals honestly. Andy is now a manager, so Ingrid Grullon was the sales person in connection with me obtaining a 2017 Malibu this past week, and Andy functioned as the manager on the deal. They were both great. They didn't have the color Malibu we wanted on the premises and so they obtained it from another location, and then were very patient as my wife and I discussed the color for a while before agreeing, "yeah, that's a good color." Ingrid did all that was necessary for the paperwork. When I picked up the car a couple of days later, she explained how everything works and even help me transfer belongings from old car to the new car. We know have to friends at East Hills, Andy and Ingrid, if we have any questions or need anything. More
