As Straight Forward As It Gets. I spent the prior weekend at another dealership in Long Island City. The place was a zoo but the dealership sold many makes so it was a good starting I spent the prior weekend at another dealership in Long Island City. The place was a zoo but the dealership sold many makes so it was a good starting point. When I narrowed my decision to a Chevy Traverse, I did my Truecar research and then started to deal with the sales staff. I didn't want/need the DVD player and many other options offered. They didn't even tell me the LT models came in two versions (LT1 and LT2), with different packages I just couldn't make any headway with them and they were more interested in "saving me money" by getting me to switch Insurance companies... When they told me my trade in would not count as cash, I walked away. When I went to East Hills Chevrolet in Douglaston I immediately noticed and liked the laid back vibe. I dealt with Lauren (who was friendly and great). I knew what I wanted and I knew what I wanted to pay. We worked a deal in my price range and they never tried to play games with my trade in (which they accepted at what KBB said it was worth). Financing was done in a straight forward manner and I drove off in my new car the next day. As with any dealership, you need to do your research in advance about what to pay, but I found East Hills to be reputable and a pleasure to deal with. More
