After two tiring weeks of research and visiting numerous dealers, the negoiated price and his attention to be flexible and courteous made my decision to buy a VW product very easy. Mr. Greg Wells was extremely helpful with financing. He researched and provided us a good interest rate for a new vehicle. He explained and did not push any extra warranties offered through the dealership. This was certianly a "no pressured sale". This is the first of many vehicles I have purchased and the only one not obtained through my credit union. I will be returing after the first of the year to get the DVD player installed, the windows tinted and vent guards on the windows and sun roof installed. If the service department is as first rate as these two gentleman, the Rusty Wallace dealership will have a customer for life and my recommendation to any one who is looking for a vehicle. Absolutely the best car leasing experience that I have ever had. Zero pressure, happy employees, respectable, courteous and professional. Scott Pittenger bent over backwards to win my business. He even drove a demo vehicle to my work, so that I could have an additional opportunity to see a different option level of a Tiguan. Upon showing up at the dealership, door opened for me, welcomed, and asked if I could be helped. An additional demo car was waiting for me to drive around, and help make my decision on packaging. No salesman jumping in the car with me, simply a pass over of the keys, and watch out for the mesquite police whom likes to wait around the corner for test drivers. Took the vehicle out for about 20 minutes of highway, side street, and access road driving. Straight shooting numbers from the finance group, divulging invoice pricing, and package differences between the three different levels of Tiguans. No run around on trade in value, and a direct approach to what me as the customer was looking for. Time to sit down with the finance manager - was waiting for all the pitches about add-ons, extended warranties, etc. John simply asked me if I was interested in any of those items and didn't try to bring them back into the conversation when I said I didn't. Deal closed in less than an hour, with all paperwork filled out and new car keys in my hand. I was invited back (since I was running off to dinner with the family) on Monday to have any additional questions answered, options set in the vehicle, and to have my mats upgraded in the vehicle. Scott Pittenger did what a real car salesman should do. He wasn't worried about the sale, he was worried about me getting into a car that worked for my family requirements, and budget constraints. Unfortunately my previous car was ruined in a rollover accident and I was forced to purchase a new vehicle. Needless to say I was a "reluctant" buyer. Never having owned a VW naturally I was reluctant to switch from my american made car. With in moments of stepping onto the dealership lot that changed. Ilia Pauloo, the sales person I worked with was great at explaining both the VW and Rusty Wallis values and practices. He spoke to points like safety, convenience, and performance. With in a short matter of time I was testing driving the vehicle I had researched and Ilia was explaining almost every detail of the car. He made the transition into the finance department a breeze and even spent time with me after purchase to remind me of some of the subtle differences between this car and my former american clunker. The monthly payment that was agreed upon and initialed by both parties, changed once I went to sign the papers. I had to wait over 1 1/2hrs after agreeing upon price and initial payment in order to sign the final paperwork. The document fee "slipped" and was not explained upon signing. I wanted tire insurance and it was not offered. I am not clear even if I have GAP insurance or not with the lease, or even if it is necessary. Signing was rushed and not explained thoroughly and various options. (tire ins., GAP). I returned to the dealership a few days after purchase in order to switch out tires as agreed, and received a loaner car. A few hours later, I was told that the tires were no longer available. More
I had had a bad experience with a different Volkswagen dealership in Dallas, let's call them Park Cities Volkswagen. So I was very hesitant to even speak to someone on the phone about buying a new Beetle. I did some homework and decided that Rusty Wallace might be my best bet for a new Volkswagen. Several friends were very happy with the service there, even happier with the service department. So I (hesitantly) emailed them about the car I wanted. Fortunately for me Mr. Ilia Pauloo was the internet manager and he emailed me back right away. His response was extremely courteous and helpful. I explained to him exactly what I wanted and also told him that I was leery of dealing with "car people" as I had had a bad previous experience. He was very polite and was able to assuage my fears by speaking to me in a friendly, professional manner - and directing me to some positive customer feedback online. Once I met Mr. Pauloo in person, I knew that Rusty Wallace was the place I wanted to buy my car. The Volkswagen Beetle that I wanted was quickly located and ordered. Less than a week later I was driving my new car out of the lot... on my second visit. I would would highly recommend buying a car from Rusty Wallace (and from Mr. Pauloo specifically). The price was excellent considering the limited supply of 2010 Jetta Sportwagen TDI's. Mr. Ilia Pauloo worked diligently to get us the best deal for our trade-in considering we were upside down. This was my third VW purchase, and this was the third VW dealer I had worked with in the Metroplex. By far, Rusty Wallis has surpassed my expectations for a dealership. From the moment I walked in the door, everyone was extremely courteous and professional. Ilia quickly walked me to my 2009 Tiguan and offered a test drive. We then went to his office and he explained how the process works (which was quite different from other dealerships). Then I met with finance and he crunched and showed me the numbers. Finance was extremely flexible and gave me a great deal. The entire process took under two hours. Two hours!!! I had enough time to go home, eat dinner, and take my family out for a ride in my new set of wheels. There are only a handful of products and companies in which I'm fiercely loyal. Volkswagen is one of them, and now I will recommend Rusty Wallis to anyone who is in the market for a new or used VW. Their service is better than any other dealership in DFW. More

Usually, it is very hard to get Diesel Jetta these days, especially customized. So, Ilia was able find my dream VW with color and options I WANT. In addition, during the purchase and subsequent paperwork process all other members of Rusty Wallis Volkswagen were professional and courteous. It was a great experience! Ilia was the best auto salesperson I've ever dealt with. He's smart, knowledgeable, attentive and just a great person. More
