I will never purchase another vehicle from rusty Wallis VW. The process was anything but smoothe. Shady sales tactics. I've dealt with many dealers but this place is terrible. Don't get Morris as your sales rep. He's a complete idiot. Car sales and negotiating is not his thing and you can tell. They try to sucker you and when you are ready to walk away, they actually let you because they think they can find someone else they can try to pull a fast one on. These guys are down right nasty, shady sales people. They want to pretend they care about the customer but you are left with an experience that makes you feel anything but that. There are plenty of other dealers in this city. I'd go somewhere else for business. Anywhere but Rusty Wallis VW. More

They change numbers and forge paper work right when you are about to pickup your car hoping that you fall for their lies. I am a long time Volkswagen customer. Had VW in the past and the dealerships I used in the past were amazing but these guys are something else. I was stupid enough to fall for their trap just to get me into their dealership. I went to this place with my step dad to buy a Passat, he has 15 years experience in car sales. They lied from the get go. I contacted their internet online sales person (Morris Tompkins). He gave me an amazing price online and I made sure to ask him for EVERYTHING before I went in. Boy was I wrong. The moment I got in the show room, the lies started. First they stuck me with an additional $2500 that he conveniently failed to mention in the email. I was upset but I finally agreed to it. It took us half of Saturday to negotiate and finally we were in agreement. We signed the paper work. They told us the car will not be available for another three days. They took my trade in and gave me a loaner. I found out later that was something they shouldn't have done. On the day I was suppose to go pickup the car they text me and told me the car is not available and to come the next day. Next day I went in and they took me to the financing room. As soon as I looked at the numbers I knew something was wrong. They had raised everything and the numbers were NOTHING like we had agreed and singed on. The financing started to lie and claimed there was no agreement on number and that ONLY him could tell me what my payment would be. We called the salesman in the office and he acted all dumb and stupid. I told them I am not going to agree on these numbers. I told them we had already agreed on all the numbers. I also told them that I would have NEVER given them my trade in and waited for 4 days if the rates were what they were giving on the day of pickup. I was pissed. I walked out and asked for my car keys (the trade in). They tried to act like they are not interested and were going to let me go but then the xxxx baggery game started. They went in their manager (tower) room and I could tell they realized the deal that Morris had made was not going to make them money so they were trying to figure out how to scam me into paying more. They brought this guy from their management room that tried to change my mind at first, I told them there is no way I am going to pay 1 cents more than what I had agreed on 4 days ego. They claimed that I had given the paper work from my bank and that it had confused them which was pure xx since we didn't have ANY paper work with us when we walked in. Again I asked them to give me my keys so that I could leave with old car. They all went back to their room and started talking again. They kept me for another 30 minutes and kept asking them for my keys but they just ignored me. They came back again and this time they really pissed me off because they were border line telling me that this was ALL our fault and that we were lying. All this to get out of the crappy deal they had made that wasn't going to make them much money so now they were doing their best with xx, lies and cheating to get out of it their agreement. They even forged the paper work that we had singed on the day that we went in for the first time. What my step dad said was interesting. He said that they had put us with an inexperienced sales man who made a deal that wasn't making profits for the dealership. Once I went to pickup the car, they realized they are not going to make any money so they raised all the rates and then claimed there was no paper worked singed and that we are at fault. He couldn't believe the scam they pulled on us. He had never seen it in the places he had worked himself. Do yourself a favor, there are a lot of dealerships around, go somewhere else. More

This past visit with the help of Jeff Wallis and Matt Soler was easily the best experience I have had in the past 5 yrs. If you know what you want'/ or you are looking for something new Matt is your guy! He knows his stuff! I came in with a relatively vague idea of what I wanted and right away he had 4 cars for me to give a go. When I found the PERFECT car Jeff Wallis helped me through the numbers and made it a totally doable painless process. I refer all my patients to this dealership! More

But good sales people work hard to make their customers happy and still sell cars at a profit. I spoke with Matt Soler at Rusty Wallis VW and he was by far the WORST sales person I have ever dealt with. HE tried to low-ball my trade-in and when I showed him with hard copy proof what other dealerships where valuing my trade he simply said go there then. Never tried, never came back with any counter offer to negotitate and see if we could come to an agreement. Just simply said go to the other guy. Rusty Wallis should be embarrassed to have sales people like this working for them and I can assure you that me, my family and everyone else I know and talk to will know about Rusty Wallis VW and most definitely Matt Soler who is obviously just skating by at his job. I started here, but will be writing a letter to VW Corporate as well as word of mouth and every form of social media available to me. I also have over 3,000 LinkedIn connections that will know about Matt Soler and Rusty Wallis. More

Eric spent an estimated 8 hours of his day to make sure I was pleased with my car purchase. We ended up going over to Rusty Wallis' Volkswagen and made a deal. I am very thankful for Eric's patience and persistence on not giving up. I will without a doubt be back to do business with Eric in the future and will refer friends and family! My experience with this business was outstanding! Eric was also willing to answer every single question I had regarding the purchase. Thank you again to everyone that helped! More

Just another fine example I've been researching vehicles for quite some time now. I've used most all the sites that are reputable and accurate. Manufacture and independent. KB I've been researching vehicles for quite some time now. I've used most all the sites that are reputable and accurate. Manufacture and independent. KBB is one I feel I can be trust. I located a Golf Sportwagon with a better than average price. Not exactly what I was looking at but a really nice price. I sent the info and my contact info as instructed. I received an e-mail response with all the regular pleasantries, however I was informed that the price KBB had shown included new car rebates and such. The car had around 6000 miles on it and it being used was not an issue. Still a great deal until the "better than average price" jumped $4000. KBB's issue, or so I was told. All that said I thought this might in fact be true, so I checked the "Official Rusty Wallace" website and guess what....same price as quoted by KBB. I sent a copy of their website link (Official Rusty Wallis) with the question of "here is your sites info". What are you trying to say? Prices match? Nothing. I also inquired about 2 other vehicles. Nothing, zip, nadda. I thought, yea, that's pretty much what I expected. I sent Robert one final reply, thanked him for his effort and half-heartedly wished him a Merry Christmas. I got the same in return. My response more than likely should have been a bit more sincere...but...I do not enjoy being lied to! The bottom line here is the price was exactly the same, KBB's price and Rusty Wallis' price. Bait and switch, I'm thinking yes. I'll find the vehicle that fit's my needs. It WILL NOT be found at this dealership! Once again, Great Job Robert! More

I was sold a certified 2014 VW Tiguan. Supposedly this car passed a very extensive certified inspection; however, the check engine light went on within 48 hours and less than 50 miles of leaving the dealer. I literally took it home on a Wednesday and went to drive it on Friday and the check engine light came on. The repair is a major one involving the turbo system and parts and labor is going to cost according to the service department $2,500. I have a warranty to cover it, but my trust in this dealer and confidence in the quality of vehicles they are pushing is down. I would feel bad for anyone who bought this car without a warranty. I had the WORST car buying experience. Buyer beware of this dealership. I would never do business with them again, but if you do buy from them be sure to get a warranty so you don't end up in my situation. I asked to speak to a manager. It took an hour and a half before Mr. Wallis came to speak to me. I just sat there in a chair and the salesman got up and left. I was checked on after the first hour to see if anyone helped me yet. Terrible customer service. More
