I received a promotional letter in January of 2010 from East Coast Toyota Scion offering to buy back my 2008 Toyota Yaris (that I purchased through them in 2008) AND pay off the difference in trade for one East Coast Toyota Scion offering to buy back my 2008 Toyota Yaris (that I purchased through them in 2008) AND pay off the difference in trade for one of their 2010 leases. I took advantage of the promotion (or so I thought) and am leasing a 2010 Toyota Corolla but have since noticed on my lease that they tacked on an additional $5000 (the difference of what was still owed on my Yaris at that time) into the total cost of my 3 year lease agreement. I have since tried to get this issue resolved but they are telling me that I have no proof and that I already signed the lease. They are admitting to the promotion they held in January (I spoke with one of their salesmen by the name of Alfredo confirming it), but Lou Mendez (their financial manager) refuses to send me a copy of the promotional letter that was originally sent to me. I have documentation sent from Toyota Corp. back in February of 2010 stating that my Yaris WAS paid for IN FULL (even though my lease says otherwise) yet they STILL refuse to resolve the situation. According to my calculations, since leasing my Toyota Corolla starting in January 2010, I have overpaid over $800 due to their inaccurate figures which will continue to keep rising if they keep refusing to fix their error. In addition, this is now the third time this dealership has screwed me over. When I received this promotional letter, it was just 2 DAYS before all the Toyota recalls hit the media. I had heard about it prior though and asked my salesman if my Corolla was one of the affected cars. He told me, "we would never sell you a vehicle off our lot that was being recalled." When I called 2 days later (since my car WAS one of the affected vehicles) he denied ever saying that. Lastly, when I purchased my Toyota Yaris back in 2008, they charged me an interest rate of over 8% (I have a credit score of 730... this should have never happened). This was the first car I ever bought though and didn't know any better that the dealership was clearly ripping me off. Live and learn. Do not give this dealership your business! GO ELSEWHERE! More
We leased a 2011 Highlander from Nishant this past weeekend. It was an all around great experience working wtih Nishant and I would highly recommend him. Nishant is humble, helpful, extremely knowledgable, and was able to help us to get to the price we wanted to pay. My husband and I spent hours at other Toyota dealerships in the Northern NJ area (Prestige, Glen, and Cresmont) and ended up witht he best price, best sales person, and out in the least amount of time because of Nishant. If I was to recommend a Toyota dealership to anyone living here in N. NJ it would be East Coast. More

Overall I have to say this was hands down the best car experience I’ve ever had…and I’ve been to many dealerships. at no point will you feel forgotten or unimportant. When this lease is up, I will return experience I’ve ever had…and I’ve been to many dealerships. at no point will you feel forgotten or unimportant. When this lease is up, I will return to Alex, just as we will continue to refer family/friends/coworkers/strangers to East Coast Toyota. More
I have now purchased 3 vehicles within a 10 month period from East Coast. I purchased a 2010 Camry 10 months ago only to have the car totaled last month. So I went back, this time with my wife who was comin from East Coast. I purchased a 2010 Camry 10 months ago only to have the car totaled last month. So I went back, this time with my wife who was coming out of a 3 year lease on her Subaru Tribeca. The folks at East Coast were up to the challenge of giving us a good deal on 2 new vehicles. We drove out of the showroom that same evening with 2 new cars, a 2011 Camry and a 2010 Rav4. We are as happy with both cars as I was with the first Camry. All involved were professional and a pleasure to work with. Larry Steinberg was our direct salesperson. He was great from beginning to end. Mike Feldman was the numbers man that was never at a loss when it came to some sort of numerical creativity to make the deal work. Mark Catalano was helpful a few weeks after the sale when a question arose regarding the Tribeca's final payments to Subaru. All in all it's been a pleasant experience and we would certainly recommend East Coast to friends and family. More
My wife and I went to the dealership to test drive a 2010 Prius. I knew little about driving a hybrid. Mister Paco Ramirez set us up with Alex Pena, our salesman who proceeded to take us out to the car and f Prius. I knew little about driving a hybrid. Mister Paco Ramirez set us up with Alex Pena, our salesman who proceeded to take us out to the car and fully explain all the procedures for operating the vehicle. After helping to adjust the car for my driving position we proceeded onto busy Route 17. Mr. Pena fully explained all the bells and whistles in the hi-tech vehicle. We finished the test drive and came back to the showroom to discuss a deal. We decided to lease the car and came to a deal. We were pleasantly surprised when Alex said that we would be able to drive the car home that night. Mr. Juan Higuita handled the financial end of the deal. At no time was there ever any high pressure in the process. When the car arrived Alex made sure to answer all of our final questions before we drove off. All in all it was a very pleasant experience. The salesman was very nice, Jeffrey Lai. However, sales manager Mike Feldman was a different story. I agreed on a price, then he cornered me when I was looking at the car & said he'd sell it to me on that manager Mike Feldman was a different story. I agreed on a price, then he cornered me when I was looking at the car & said he'd sell it to me on that price on the condition I would give 100% excellent rating with Toyota. I said yeah sure..he asked, again would there be any reason I would not give a 100% excellent rating? I hesitated & said well the price wasn't what I originally wanted to pay but I would still give them the highest rating. He said because I'd hesitated like that, he wouldn't sell me the car & had to back out of the deal. obviously the guy doesn't know me but when I give my word, I abide by it. I'd never experience being treated like this, it was very distasteful to put it mildly. This guy acted like xxxx & I would never go back there in a million years. If you want a pleasant buying experience, do NOT go to East Coast Toyota. More
As soon as I arrived at the dealership, I was remembered, for being a previous customer by the Sales manager, who treated me like family. He introduced me to Alex my sales person who took me out remembered, for being a previous customer by the Sales manager, who treated me like family. He introduced me to Alex my sales person who took me out in a Prius test drive. The showroom was packed, but at no time was I forgotten..I got a great deal on the lease of the vehicle, it was delivered exactly as expected, on time. My plates arrived within 1 week, and I received several calls and emails as followups on the sale of the car. I even met the owner, who was a really nice guy. We sat and talked for about 30 minutes, he was a very friendly person. He also made sure I was happy throughout the process, which was one of the easiest times I've had buying a vehicle. I am 56 and have purchased from East Coast several times, and will continue to do business and refer people to this excellent dealership.. More

This was by far the best of all the car dealerships [Toyota, Honda, Ford, Kia, et al.] that I have visited in my recent new car purchase experience, and quite possibly the best dealership I have ever d [Toyota, Honda, Ford, Kia, et al.] that I have visited in my recent new car purchase experience, and quite possibly the best dealership I have ever dealt with. I spoke to a number of dealers [including several other Toyota dealers] and these fellows were peerless. From the excellent salesman Larry Steinberg, to the desk manager Mr. Feldman [I unfortunately don't recall his first name but I believe it may be Mike], to Frank Lizardi who finished up the paperwork and helped very creatively with some loan rate details, to Eddie who tutored me on the car before I drove off, they were a top-notch, personable and professional group. I purchased a new 4Runner [trading in an old Ford Explorer] and got a great price on the new car and the trade-in without undo haggling. I am recommending the dealership - and the beautiful 4Runner - to all my neighbors and friends. The car rides like a gem, has top of the line reliability ratings, and looks beautiful. The price was great and the interactions were a pleasure. I recommend this dealer (and the car) MOST HIGHLY! More
