after reading the reviews on the website i was hesitant about purchasing a car from this dealership however i was very specific in what vehicle i wanted to purchase and this was the only dealership that ha about purchasing a car from this dealership however i was very specific in what vehicle i wanted to purchase and this was the only dealership that had the exact car i wanted - a white scion tc 5 speed (a very girly sporty car, perfect for me!). i went to the dealership, to a look at the car, test drove it, the usual escapade before considering to buy a vehicle. after a few days of thinking about it, i went back to the dealership to talk some numbers. they set me up with one of their salesman bobby who seemed uninterested in even talking to me. he told me there was "NO WAY" i would get this car for less that 3000 down and 300+ dollars a month. i informed him that i would be returning over the weekend with my father to make an offer on the car and hopefully work out a deal as i would be trading in a vehicle that i was already financing. the next day, i called bobby to make an appointment, and the phone rang & rang - NO ANSWER. i called back again and the receptionist told me he was there and transfered me again. i left a message stating my name and the car i was interested in and i never heard back from him. i am a young female and i assume he didnt think i was serious about the buying the car so i went back for a THIRD time to speak with a new salesperson, nishant. nishant is very nice and was very pleasant to work with, which put me at ease. he informed me that i wouldnt need to put any money down, he would take car of the vehicle i was financing, and i would have the scion for $275 a month. after hearing the good news i immediately took the offer. 5 hours later i met with their financing person, luis. after trying to sell me a whole bunch of unneccessary insurance and protection policies, he got me for a gap-coverage plan - another $5 a month. i told him that im a student and i have a job so i wouldnt want to pay anymore than i am already. he informed me that my contract was for $280 and reassured me AGAIN that the car i traded in was going to be taken care of considering i still had a loan out for the car in the amount of $6000 .. shortly after, i received the keys to the car and attempted to drive off the lot BUT my new/used scion tc WOULDNT START!!!!!! seeing as it was after 9pm and most of the staff was leaving i began to become angry. an associate named mo called my salesperson and told them my just-purchase vehicle wasnt starting .. he said i needed to leave the car on the lot so he can have someone look at it in the morning and i would have to take my old car home .. GREAT .. just as i was getting back in to my old car, he started the scion .. he told me it was just an error with the key since it had not been programmed .. SPLENDID .. now that i just s*!$ my pants i can take my new car home .. pleased with my new cute car and the fact that i actually had it i was pretty happy.. until i got a call 2 weeks later from my old financing company telling me that my bill was past due and that they never recieved a call about me trading it in .. once again i was FURIOUS. i called nishant, my sales rep, who told me to ignore the calls because the check was sent to them and theyll have the money in a few days .. he then said there was paperwork that needed to be finished and i had to drive all the way back to the dealership.. not to mention i had to make a trip up there to drop off papers for the bank the week before ! being that i work so much, i did not make it there so the next day luis left me a message stating that i needed to come in and sign the papers and if i didnt like the banks deal i needed to give them the car back .. i was so confused !!!! i called luis back and asked him what was going on seeing as i already signed the contract and i was ready to make my payments .. he said they either want the 3000 dollars (which the first salesman told me) or they want my name taken off of the contract which was cosigned by my mother or i can leave the car on their lot if i didnt like it .. TRUTH BE TOLD: THEY ARE GETTING THEIR CAR BACK TONIGHT !!!!!! i am MORE than unhappy. i have searched and visited MANY dealerships and i am not happy that i chose them .. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL BUYER BEWARE !!!!!!!!!! More
I do not even know where to begin. From bogus tire tax, inflated pricing, being sold an uninspected car with no brakes and a transmission that was recalled, and in general being sold a $10,000 car 6 months inflated pricing, being sold an uninspected car with no brakes and a transmission that was recalled, and in general being sold a $10,000 car 6 months ago that is currently undriveable (no seriously)....buyer beware of this place. The best part...the manager referred to me as practically family. Geesh...would hate to have walked in there as a stranger! :-/ More
At the eleventh hour, owner John Ripoli stepped in and gutted a deal to buy a Prius that had been 2 weeks and many, many hours of my time (and his staff’s time) in the making. After they took a down payme gutted a deal to buy a Prius that had been 2 weeks and many, many hours of my time (and his staff’s time) in the making. After they took a down payment, had the contract drawn up, and had me sign the contract, Ripoli stepped in and tried to extort an extra $600 (plus tax). He then appointed a "Rude Man in Chief", named Rolando Perez, to run us out of there when we refused to capitulate. More
The first time we went there it was for a used car for my husband. John Lyons took care of us and he didn't make us feel obligated to a sale. However we ended up buying privately. A few weeks later we decide husband. John Lyons took care of us and he didn't make us feel obligated to a sale. However we ended up buying privately. A few weeks later we decided to lease a new car for myself, so I called John and again he gave me all the information I needed to decide between leasing and financing, ran our credit and had everything ready to go once we came in the next day. He knew what we needed and could afford and again was not pushy or did not try to hit us with hidden cost or go over our bugget. My husband is in sales and was dreading the idea of dealing with a car salesman, but he was very impressed with East Coast Toyota's treatment of the customers from the receptionist to the managers and financial specialist. I would recommend East Coast Toyota to everyone who would like an enjoyable experience without the pushy sales tactics that we experienced in other places. More
John went above and beyond what a salesperson should do. Always following up, letting me have a word, giving me a great price. The overall experience down to Mike the sales manager and even the receptionist was incredible. My sister and I purchased both a 2010 Highlander and 2011 Camry brand new in October 2010 from John at East Coast. I was so happy with the way I was treated and the fair pricing that I came back in February of 2011 and purchased a Sienna for myself. Need I say more? Three cars purchased from the same dealer and salesperson in a time period of roughly almost 4 months. More

Be aware of this dealership...all their promises are fake; they leading not honest business. I filed a case with Better Busines fake; they leading not honest business. I filed a case with Better Business Bureau. I came to dealership with offer to lease new car with following options: 1. Cover up to $1500 early lease termination (my full lease coverage was $1250, with in a valid range) 2. Escape excessive mileage & wear & tear penalties and so many others... They took my car but did not pay off my existing lease. I find out in a month (when I got my statement from Toyota Fanatical) that my old lease was not covered. I called sales person Alex Pena, Sales Manager Morris, and Customer Relation Manager Mark Catalano, but can't the truth. More
From the moment I walked in, until the moment I drove the car off the lot my mind was at ease. Jamie was patient, answered all of my questions, took me (and my wife and kids) for a test drive far off the lo car off the lot my mind was at ease. Jamie was patient, answered all of my questions, took me (and my wife and kids) for a test drive far off the lot (in a snowstorm). The price was right, and it took no time at all for the paperwork to be handled. In no way was I pressured to buy anything. I was not sure what I wanted walking in, but the same emphasis was given to the lesser models as the larger, pricier ones like the 2011 Highlander I was happy to take home. More
Our recent experience at East Coast Toyota was nothing short of excellent! Our salesperson, Holman Cano, was the consummate professional. He patiently answered all of our questions and never once made u short of excellent! Our salesperson, Holman Cano, was the consummate professional. He patiently answered all of our questions and never once made us feel pressured or hurried us to come to a decision. He understood that we were working within a tight budget and worked hard to get us maximum value for our trade-in. The remaining staff members were also very friendly and professional. We will definitely recommend that our friends go see Holman Cano and the rest of the staff at East Coast Toyota the next time they're in the market for a quality Toyota vehicle! It was a great way to start the new year! More
