a terrible experience in this dealership I purchased a certified 2012 Rav4 and it was the worst thing I did. They labeled the car certified and when I drove out the dealership the rotors were warped, I had a bad wheel bearing, my emergency brake didn't work, my wipers were rotted, my visor light didn't work , transmission had to be changed and there's a lot more but what I'm really upset about is that my sales representative sold me a two wheel drive Rav4 when I was under the impression that it was four wheel drive. When I realized that it was not a four wheel drive vehicle and I brought it to my sales representatives attention his response to me was that all I can do now is trade in the vehicle and if I did that I was gonna lose alot of money. Worst experience of my life. The only thing this sales representative wanted was to sell a car fast. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone. It's sad to say but its the honest truth.. More

We were welcomed at the door and the person I spoke with through email (who was quick and attentive, Ali) came and put us in the capable hands of Fernando Castro, who was straight forward and helpful from the get-go. I went in knowing what car I wanted and he helped me get in the drivers seat and helped me go through the details. Fernando worked with us and got us a great deal! He was personable and fun to work this deal out with. It means a lot to be comfortable with a car salesman in that way, as I was very stressed and nervous beforehand. By the end, I felt like a member of their "family". The follow-up emails and phone calls also meant a great deal to me, as they still remembered to check in with my new car, even though they had already made the sale. Thank you East Coast Toyota and thank you Fernando for all your help and patience! More

They told me I needed a new water pump, reserve tank and flow valve. They wanted $2,275 to fix it. I said no. Then I researched the engine code (p1121) and online it said "flow valve". I bought the flow valve online for $64 and changed it myself. How many people are they doing this to!!!!! This is sickening!!!!! More

One Bad Apple Although my initial visit to East Coast Toyota wasn't as seamless or positive as any Truck Consumer would hope it would be, I was grateful to see that Although my initial visit to East Coast Toyota wasn't as seamless or positive as any Truck Consumer would hope it would be, I was grateful to see that they at least offered a smidge of Damage Control. In standard dealership procedures the vehicles registration should be given within the 20 day time span. What should have been an easy transfer from one Tundra to another was a nightmare. Not only was my temp registration about to expire but I wasn't even contacted by my Salesman "Anthony Perrone" with an explanation or a remedy. Apparently there were a lot of loose ends that he didn't handle once my transaction began. I had to repeatedly call the dealership and eventually drive there to get someone's attention. Had it not been for the assistance of Michael Feldman & Jennifer I would have been forced to park my new truck and go rent a vehicle that I could drive LEGALLY for work. REALLY?!?! That's INSANE!!! At least now I'm convinced that they didn't allow one bad apple to spoil the bunch. Thanks Guys! ~Carmine DM More
BEWARE>>> THEY WILL SCAM YOU Please read your contract very carefully!!! They will quote you an interest rate, and after you say you don't want the extra maintenance or the GAAP Please read your contract very carefully!!! They will quote you an interest rate, and after you say you don't want the extra maintenance or the GAAP insurance, the salesman will go back to talk to the manager and tell you what the payment would be. Once you sign the contract you realize the payment you were quoted is actually a payment at a higher interest rate than you were told, includes their extra maintenance for $1200 and GAAP insurance. In reality, the payment should be much lower had they not sneaked in all the extras. PLEASE read the contract thoroughly as they are dishonest. More
