All of the people we interacted with at Earnhardt Hyundai were friendly, competent and very pleasant. I went in to explore a Hyundai Sonata and was greeted in less than 30 seconds by Sean, was shown a wonde were friendly, competent and very pleasant. I went in to explore a Hyundai Sonata and was greeted in less than 30 seconds by Sean, was shown a wonderful selection of Sonatas and given a great test drive. After selecting the color I wanted, Jimmy and Sean negotiated with me in a businesslike manner and we arrived at satisfactory deal. When my wife came with me the next day to pick up my car, she was so impressed that she agreed to a test drive of a Tuscon SUV. She bought that car the next day. I have never been to a dealership where you werent attacked at the door as you walked in. Sean Lantz, my salesman, approached me in a friendly maner, but wasnt pushie at all. Very professional. He allowed me to take out for test drives in as many cars as I felt I needed to. He spent as much time with me as I needed. Ian, the Finance Director, was also awsume in working out the best price that it ook to make the deal. After doing my homework, I was able to confirm that the price was awsume. Ian worked hard also, with Sean in locating the car that I wanted re color and equipment. Then Ian needed to get my lease set up with the best rates possible. All of these guys went way out of their way to make me happy and I certainly would recommend them as a whole and also Sean and Ian. PS I also have never felt comfortable in a dealership....at this dealership i felt like family. More
This, the Genesis sedan, is my first Hyundai. I traded in an Acura TL and my previous cars were a Lexus, a Mercedes and a BMW. I was really impressed by the quality, drive and spaciousness of the Hyundai Gen an Acura TL and my previous cars were a Lexus, a Mercedes and a BMW. I was really impressed by the quality, drive and spaciousness of the Hyundai Genesis. I'm 6'4" and when I adjusted the front seat I was also able to sit in the back seat comfortably. The road handling was superb, the car is Lexus' quiet and the acceleration was there when needed. But why did I really get the car...it was the interaction with the salesman Carl Pickett. I have bought many, many new cars over my lifetime and working with Carl was the best experience ever. He was very knowledgeable about the car, it's features and nuances. Carl always had a smile on his face, he never hassled me and when the car was delivered he ensured I knew everything that I had to know. He wouldn't let me go until we did "pair" my phone, (not an easy thing to do with the Droid). If you go to buy a car at this dealer, ask for him, you won't regret it. BTW, I got the price I wanted. I can't end this review unless I also mention the parts manager, Doug Bjarko. I spent some time with him talking about cars and installing a new grill. He was just as pleasant to work with as Carl. This is by far, a customer friendly dealership with great deals. More
I have bought (2) cars from Earnhardt in the last 45 days... a 2012 Genesis and a 2012 Veloster. Both are excellent cars and fun to drive. The whole dealership was very friendly and clean. The waiting area has a nice flat screen T.V. and comfortable chairs unlike some other dealers I have been at in the past for maintenance. Lastly, I feel like I got a very fair price on my trade-ins and as well as the price of the new cars. I had a horrible car buying experience when it was Discover and it has carried over and I would say gotten worse not that Earnhardt bought them out. I have bought a lot of cars in my lifetime and hav Discover and it has carried over and I would say gotten worse not that Earnhardt bought them out. I have bought a lot of cars in my lifetime and have never complained but I feel very strongly about this. If this dealership wasn't so close to my house I would avoid. I have to chase them down to find out what's wrong with my car. One time they had my car for a week and no one called me to tell me anything. Then if your lucky you get a email saying your car is ready. A email? Sorry you can't be that busy that you can't pick up a phone. Now I hear there down to one service advisor as of Feb 11. I have to wait 5 days to get my car in because of one advisor. aren't the mechanics still working? It just keeps getting worse. I bought my so called Sonata " Certified" only to find out the front bumper had been repaired because the bumper got hit. I now have to pay 1000.00 for a replacement. Certified? It was suppose to mean no accidents. This dealership better get it's act together. I would never recommend it. My Sales person threw a fit right in front of me when he found he wasn't going to be paid until the next pay period because I had to come back in two days with a certified check. Who does that in front of a customer? Then no one did a walk around and I drove off with less then a quarter tank in my car. I was so upset I turned around and complained and they filled it up to 3/4 of a tank. How cheap. I want anyone who reads this to know I am not a complainer by nature. This is the first review I have ever written on a dealership. More
Quick reponse, but never was a bother by phoning daily as some dealers have. My husband said "it was a pleasant experience" which one never says about car dealers. This dealership is Discover Hyundai. We purchased a brand new sonata that was driven from Yuma Az to Scottsdale for us because we selected a color that Discover did not have. When the car was a little over o new sonata that was driven from Yuma Az to Scottsdale for us because we selected a color that Discover did not have. When the car was a little over one month old with just 2600 miles on it the engine blew up on the freeway going 70mph when we were over 250 miles from home. Discover refused to accept the car back. The very professional roadside service folks towed us to Jim Click Hyundai in Tucson who were very accommodating. Since Discover would not accept the car back because it required a brand new engine we were rudely told by the sales person Carl that we had to deal with the corporate office in California. We were forced to rent a car and were without our brand new car for one month while we were haggling back and forth and the new engine was put in. Not once did anyone at Discover Hyundai in Scottsdale contact us to offer ANY assistance. We did not want the car back and as it turned out no one did. We were forced to lose $4000 and purchased a turbo Hyundai from the dealer in Tucson. Then corporate Hyundai told us we had to pay the additional $15 per day over the $30 allowance for the rental. We had to return the rental car 250 miles to pick up the new one. This raised our payment significantly to Incorporate the $4000 loss on a car we drove 2600 miles as my wife refused to get back. Into the lemon car. We are now stuck with our new Hyundai and a very bad taste in our mouths. Discover Hyundai has the worse customer service I have ever encountered in my 35 years of purchasing cars. Corporate Hyundai also does not have the customers interest at all. Can't wait to sell our car and go to a dealer that stands behind their product. Carl was a rude, unprofessional salesperson who should not be in the car business. More
