Although I did not purchase my Chevy truck in Arizona I did have to keep up on the maintnance. I googled Chevy dealers closest to me and Thorobred Chevrolet came up. I reviewed what others had to say about did have to keep up on the maintnance. I googled Chevy dealers closest to me and Thorobred Chevrolet came up. I reviewed what others had to say about there experience and decided I would try it based on all the positive feedback I read. I took my Chevy truck in for regular services and had the BEST experience!! The staff is very knowledgible and the service is quick. I did not have to wait long at all and even though it was a rutine check, the service department staff took the time to walk me through every step of my work order to make sure I understood. I still use Thorobred Chevrolet today for any of my Chevy needs. I also refer anyone who ask's about CHEVY to Thorobred Chevrolet and tell them how WONDERFUL I think the staff there are and how much they will enjoy the experience. More
We discovered Thorobred Chevrolet 4 years ago. Much to our delight, they treated us as family from Day 1, never patronize us, always remember us by name and always treat us with the utmost respect. Unlike our delight, they treated us as family from Day 1, never patronize us, always remember us by name and always treat us with the utmost respect. Unlike other dealers (that are only interested in separating you from your money and then forgetting about you), the employees at Thorobred Chevrolet will always stop what they are doing to talk to you or help you in any way they can. At the top of our list is our salesman, Carl, our service manager, George Ifill, our oil change specialist, Holly Gillette, just to name a few of the outstanding employees at this dealership. Complimentary bottled water and popcorn is always waiting for us too! We've purchased 2 vehicles from them in the 4 years since we've discovered them and plan to purchase all future vehicles from them as well. More
As soon as I pulled into the serive bay at the quick lube, Holly had jumped out of her seat and was at my window with her clipboard in hand. She did a thorough inspection of my vehicle and informed me o lube, Holly had jumped out of her seat and was at my window with her clipboard in hand. She did a thorough inspection of my vehicle and informed me of what she saw right away that needed my attention, or would need it soon. She was very helpful, and very informative. I felt well taken care of. The wait was quick, my vehicle was fixed, cleaned, and the price was lower than what was expected. Overall, I am very happy with my experiences with Thorobred, and would highly recommend Holly and her team to friends and family. More
I had a accident and the side of my dodge pick up was damaged from the door to the tail lamp. Scott kept me informed from start to finish. He call me every other day. In the beginning I had many questio damaged from the door to the tail lamp. Scott kept me informed from start to finish. He call me every other day. In the beginning I had many questions about the parts and how the repair would proceed. He explained the process which gave me a lot of confidence Thorobred Chevrolet would do a good job of repairing the damage. The truck looks great! More
My brother and I went in to Thorobred Chevrolet to look at there used cars. We already had been looking around at other dealers but they were not willing to work with us on pricing. Once we arrived at Thor at there used cars. We already had been looking around at other dealers but they were not willing to work with us on pricing. Once we arrived at Thorobred Chevrolet it was a breath of fresh air. The used car sales man was so nice, showing us all they car that were in our budget. Once we found the car that we liked, we went in to sit down and talk numbers. My brother was firm on his offer since we were purchasing the car with cash. The sales man went and talked it over with his manger, Mark and after only a few minutes he returned and shook my brothers hand and said you have a deal. And just like that he signed papers, there were no extra "hidden" fees, like other places sometimes like to do, and we were out the door in his new Chevrolet. I would highly recommend Thorobred Chevrolet, they were really nice and an overall great experience. PS. They have the BEST popcorn machine!! More
So where do you start with such a horrible experience?? So where do you start with such a horrible experience?? First of all after buying 3 car's from this place you might think the service would be a little better. Well think again. The 3rd car I am speaking of in this review. I bought a Used Truck. The Truck Looked nice from the outside. The Salesman Carl was nice as always. Problem starts with a bent Axle I discovered on the Truck about a month after I got it. Took it in to get it fixed and to my surprised I was accused of doing the damage and also informed the EXTENDED wrranty they sold me would not cover the problem. I had to stand in the showroom and get loud enough for them to finally fix it. Then I have 2 other problems. The power to the truck kept shutting off finally stranding me 2 times. HAd to have it towed. The Passenger window quit working so while they were trying to fix the power problem I had them attempt to fix the window. Once again they informed me my EXTENDED warranty they sold me would not cover these problems. They informed me due to the fact it was NOT a certified GM USED the warranty company denied the claims. So turns out the windows were changed from manual to power somewhere along the lines..they DID NOT inform me of this so again..the EXTNEDED WARRANTY they sold me is USELESS. So now I get to pay them to fix a problem that I have a warranty on...and their attitude is basically OH WELL. SO..PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..do not buy from these people. DO not take the chance on having this treatment I am getting done to you. They do NOT CARE about you or what is right. They care about getting your money..then standing back with arms folded saying too bad..thats the way it is. I will make it my mission to make sure everyone knows about these crooks. It may have cost me a few hundred this time..but hoepfully this message and all the others I will be posting will get to a few people. And if those people spread the word it make take out a few more people that would have bought from them. So i will trade a few hundred dollars and hopefully make them loose thousands. They are BAD BAD PEOPLE HERE More
I have dealt with this dealership for over 21 years. I have had the same service consultant for all that time, Charlie Hughes. I have my Corvettes serviced there and I would not go anywhere else. Just r have had the same service consultant for all that time, Charlie Hughes. I have my Corvettes serviced there and I would not go anywhere else. Just recently they went out of their way to reimburse me for a battery I had to replace. I bought the battery at Sears but my old one was still under warranty and they showed me how I could get reimbursed for the replacement even though they did not install it. I have also purchased two Corvettes at the dealership. They do not charge a premium like most dealerships, in fact when I bought my last Corvette in 2009 they took $8,000 off of the list price. No hassle or haggle. I could recommend either the sales or service. More
They guys can not be trusted. I talked to one of their internet employees, who was actually very nice and attentive, over email for a week or so regarding the Chevy Equinox. We discussed my needs and I g internet employees, who was actually very nice and attentive, over email for a week or so regarding the Chevy Equinox. We discussed my needs and I gave him all the details of what I was looking for. He assured me that I would be treated with honesty and integrity. He actually said it several times. I thought it was weird that he would say that a bunch of times but now I know why. He was probably scared of what was actually going to happen. I came down to look at the vehicle and I only got to talk to the internet employee for a few seconds. Instead of dealing with him, I got ambushed by a sales rep and a sales manager. They totally changed the framework of the deal we had worked on over email and their first real offer was $100 more a month than what we had previously discussed. They tried to tell me how much money their were losing in the deal (like I care) and how leasing actually worked because in their mind I didn't have any idea (even though I had leased 3 cars before, including one just a month prior @ ABC Nissan [who are very good BTW]). I recommend you steer clear of these guys. They will make it sound like they are easy and flexible but then they turn the tables on you. I even told them the exact deal that VW was offering me but said I would go with them if they even came close to it. They wouldn't do it so about an hour later, I drove down to San Tan VW and got a SUV that was priced $2000 more than the Chevy and got it for $40 less a month. More
I went in person to buy a new Malibu. I thought that would get me a better price than calling.... or going on the internet. I asked for the lowest price they could give me. The salesman left for 10 min would get me a better price than calling.... or going on the internet. I asked for the lowest price they could give me. The salesman left for 10 minutes and then came back with $20,000. When i got home, i checked on the dealer website and they had 2 for sale for $18,995 and 5 for sale for $19,695. It makes no sense that they would have a live customer in their showroom and give a higher price than the same car online. To make it more confounding, all of their newspaper ads say "We'll beat any other dealer's price on a new or used vehicle by $1,000 or more". Another dealer is offering new Malibu's for $16,995 ( it is a basic car but it is the same model with no options as the ones on this dealer's lot that i wanted to buy). I didn't mention this when i was leaving the dealership. I don't understand why they wouldn't have offered it to me without my asking. My salesman used all of the standard car-selling-techniques. "What do i need to do to get you into a car today?" even tho i said i was there to buy a car and i would pay cash. He interrupted me every time i tried to talk. It was just a weird experience. Maybe they will call me back and offer me the $1,000 "we'll beat any price". If so, i will update this post. I really wanted to like this dealership. I don't intend to call or visit them again. More
I went in on a Sunday afternoon to LOOK at a vehicle. My boyfriend and I both took it for a test drive and really liked it. I was a used vehicle that had been on the lot for over 30 days so it was reduced boyfriend and I both took it for a test drive and really liked it. I was a used vehicle that had been on the lot for over 30 days so it was reduced to sell. The salesman was the only nice one. I was visited by Kal in financing that came to me with a price and a price for my trade-in. The price for my trade-in was a slap in the face at $500, when I told him that was ridiculous and it booked at $5400 he acted like he was doing me a favor by upping it to $2500 even after I told him that another dealership offered me my payoff of $3500. Luckily for the dealership I really liked the car I was purchasing and was exhausted from looking. Kal was extremely rude and the only part that could be interpretted for pleasant was typical salesmen FAKE. Next, I was given a worksheet breaking down the cost. Thankfully I looked over it carefully because they were trying to tax me $300 more than it should've been. My poor salesman took the worksheet back to get fixed. They acknowledged the error, yet didn't fix it and sent him back to me with the same amount. I told him I wouldn't sign it until it was fixed, he agreed and took it back again. So after that was worked out...on to financing. We had a gentleman introduce himself as the one that would be handling our loan then another woman came and got us. After we entered her office, she realized that she had the wrong people so we went back out to the waiting area. When we did get called in, the man who said he would be handling it, in fact was just sitting in overlooking another man. I don't remember his name. But this last gentleman was the topper of my experience. Of course, as a typical salesman he tried to sell me all kinds of stuff for my car. I told him I wasn't interested in anything, yet he continued and made it sound like I was making this bad decision by not purchasing all these extras. When he printed out the final price of everything and was waiting for me to sign, I looked over it carefully again and noticed another error. The final price was a good $1,000 difference. When I told him it wasn't the correct figure he just went on and on about how he doesn't do the numbers, this is just the information he's given. My reply was, "you're the one that I see last before I sign and you don't even know what all the numebers are for?" Excuses and more excuses and still trying to get me to sign a contract where the number was considerably higher than I had agreed and signed with my salesman. Finally he took it somewhere and came back with the correct amount. He was, as was Kal, very rude and pushy. I understand they do this all day every day but they get paid to be there, they chose that job, I spent 5 hours there with a 3-year-old and was twice expected to sign something that wasn't correct. When I asked the last guy "I wonder how many people sign things that you guys have "messed up" the numbers on because of some "mistake" and don't catch it". He had nothing to say except more excuses of the figures being given to him and him having nothing to do with it. My car was not gassed, nor was the inside detailed. Overall this was an unpleasant experience and I WILL NOT be back. More
