First of all, the reason i decided to go with Elco Cadillac was because a few months ago I did an online inquiry and had a few questions about the 2013 Cadillac CTS. Eric Cromer contacted me and i did not take the call because I knew that I was planning on buying the car in the spring and only wanted info. He then e-mailed me and I responded and told him I would contact him in March. He told me that he would wait to hear from me and that they do not do the high pressure tactics( i never mentioned not wanting to be pressured, so this was great) I called him a couple weeks ago and told him that i would be seeing him real soon. I told him the day and time I would be coming.The day I came down he had left sick and that is where Joe Archambault came into the equation. Eric had told him that I would be coming and to take good care of me. Joe was absolutely wonderful. He answered all of my questions. I found him extremely pleasant to work with.I already knew the color car i wanted and price range. The dealership was absolutely beautiful and all of the sales people were very friendly. Joe went over all the bells and whistles in the car and told me if its anything I don't understand to feel free to give him a call. I truly can't stress enough how impressed I was with Joe. I had gone through my insurance company, USAA, to look for a new 2013 Cadillac CTS and a dealership to work with. There were two Cadillac dealerships that partner with USAA in the St Louis area. Joe Archambault contacted me to provide any assistance that I needed in finding a car that I wanted. ELCO Chevrolet Cadillac did not have the Cadillac CTS with the options that I wanted on their lot. Joe was able to locate a 2013 Cadillac CTS with all the options and was able to have the car for me to look at and test drive within a couple days. I took a test drive with Joe and bought the CTS that day. The purchase of the CTS was a smooth transaction. Joe has contacted me after the purchase and verified that my wife liked the car and that everything was good with the car. New dealership is very impressive. I started the transaction in what is now the Chevy building and once they relocated to Cadillac building was thouroughly impressed with it. Had a phenominal time picking out the options and specs and know it was a bit of a learning curve for us both with the new ATS model. We purchased a new car for our almost 16 yr old son. He decided on a Chevy Cruze and chose one and later had second thoughts on its interior color. Joe is a great salesman. He is knowledgeable about the vehicles and is willing to work around our schedules to make it convenient for the customer to purchase a car, which is important. Most importantly, though...he's a good guy who doesn't make you feel like you're in the middle of a purchasing scam. Everyone is in business to make a profit and we respect that. However, authenticity is a character trait you can't teach someone...you either have it or you don't. To be truly successful in sales and especially car sales, you need to be the sort of person that is genuine and truly likable. Joe is, and I'm not surprised he is the most reviewed on your staff. Twice, I had the opportunity to meet his boss (Bill, I believe?) who was always impeccably dressed and looked me right in the eye on both occasions. Also stayed late the first time we were there so that he could meet us personally and shake our hands, and Joe took the time to make sure that introduction happened. This may all have been because our initial contact through an internet search did not get as timely a response as we had anticipated. Nevertheless, that memory is long gone, as the customer service from the team at this new location (which is pristine and beautiful) is outstanding. The process of actually purchasing and necessary paperwork was a bit long. But buying a car is serious business and we understand that. Overall the attitude inside the dealership is very welcoming. Not only are you greeted with real smiles from real, live bodies when you walk inside or visit the service department, the relationship between the coworkers is friendly and genuine. That is another thing you can't teach, and is learned behavior given the experience of this group of employees in this particular environment. We have this in our office, and you don't find it too often. It comes from the top and is filtered down to the coworker level. I would venture to guess that owners and managers treat their coworkers in a manner in which they would like to be treated themselves. The trickle down effect at Elco is definitely evident at the client level. We know this, because our experience there and especially with Joe landed us in front of another one of your brochures and now we are seriously looking at purchasing an Escalade!
