Articulate and knowledgeable about the various available vehicles Jim came across personable and friendly. We did not buy right away but over the next couple of weeks kept searching and phone calls/questions to Jim were answered quickly. When we went back after doing comparisons and zeroed in on 3 various possible purchases (2 other dealers and Elco) the pricing and terms with the vehicle we bought were what we considered the best with Elco and Jim. What was really appreciated was the fact that we never felt pressured to buy right away - unlike some others we had dealt with. When agreeing on the purchase the experience and people we dealt with were great - all the questions/options/usage on the vehicle were explained so that the wife and I felt comfortable. All in all a very pleasant experience that I could recommend to anyone looking to buy new or used. Thanks Jim. More
ELCO had just taken a Camaro in trade that matched exactly what I wanted. Eric was able to secure me a great deal, and everyone was super friendly throughout the process. Called dealership to see if they had the sonic to drive and talked to Joe. Asked for Joe when we were greeted as soon as we arrived at dealership and got out of car. Joe came out and introduced himself and we talk about the car we wanted to drive and he went and got one and brought it up to us and explained some of the features inside and out. We looked under the hood and in the trunk and than drove the car. We explained that we were also looking at two other cars and this was our first stop. We drove the car and really liked it and told Joe when we got back from driving it that it was great and we might see him later. He understood and gave us some more information on the car. We left the dealership and drove the other two cars and decided that the Chev. Sonic was the one that we would purchase so called Joe and said that we would be back to talk about a deal. Made the deal that I was happy with and picked up the car on Monday after Joe went after it. The car was all cleaned up even though it had rained that day. Joe went over some more of the features and got On Star set up and Serius set up for me. I found joe to be full of information and very knowledgeable about the car and i would recommend him as a sales person to anyone. He also had a great personality that I find very important and even though he has lots of energy he was never pushy but very interested in me knowing all about the car so that I would feel comfortable driving it. I have been driving the car for 5 days now and enjoy it very much. It is comfortable, easy to get in and out of, trunk is very roomy, it is a very quiet car and road noise is minimal and it has a good ride and drives nicely. Not only thanks to Joe but thanks to the manager and to the finance person for making the sale quite easy. I very much appreciate that it was really quite an easy transaction. More
On the first time visit we purchased an 'AS IS' vehicle for my 16 year old. There was a known issue with the check engine light and I was assured this would be taken care of even though it was a final sal for my 16 year old. The particular code causing this has a pretty long laundry list of items to check in certain order and required a bit of back and forth with the vehicle as that list was run through, but we were fine with this. Upon our third visit however the service department folks really started to worry not only about this issue but a couple of other unforeseen issue related to the vehicle. At this point the folks at ELCO offered my family a full credit of the cost of the vehicle. They most certainly didn't have to offer this at all due to how the purchase was made. And being the standard consumer that I am I was quite surprised at the offer and that I had not requested or even pleaded the case on this. We came beck within the next day picked out different vehicle and are very happen with the decision. The ELCO staff, especially Eric and Tony, went the extra mile to make sure we all were happy with the outcome. I am very pleased over all and would not only recommend ELCO to friends but they will for sure be the first place I go to when ready to purchase used or new. Brad is your best salesman!!! He is the best looking employee at Elco! In my opinion I think he should sit near the front where everyone who walks in can look at him. We were looking to buy a car in Missouri for my elderly Mother-in-Law. I live in Virginia and talked with Jim McCormick several times prior to coming to the dealership in Ballwin. Jim had the car that we were looking to test drive washed and prepared for our arrival and it was parked right in front of the sales office. Jim took the time to show my Mother-in-Law the different adjustments for the seat, mirrors etc... Very understanding of the situation and worked to make it a comfortable environment for all of us. The purchase of the car went smoothly and we have been very happy with the car. Not only was Jim McCormick very helpful when we were buying the car, but the car's registration needed to be renewed and he was helpful with that process as well. Again, I live in Virginia and the car registration process makes my Mother-in-Law very nervous. Jim helped out tremendously by having the car picked up from her home, inspected, confirmed that the renewal paperwork was completed and placed the correct stickers on the license plate and then had the car returned to her house. Great customer service to assist a customer with an intimidating process, alleviating a lot of stress for her and us back here in Virginia. If I plan on buying a Chevrolet or Cadillac in the future, I am certain that I would strongly consider flying out to see my Mother-in-Law, buy a car and drive it back to Virginia.
