jandskirch, We are sorry that you didn't have a good experience. That is certainly not the goal. Obviously, we had no way of knowing that the transmission was about to go out, as apparently your mechanic didn't either when you took it to him to check out prior to purchasing it. I can certainly understand you wanting to get the cost of the replacement transmission to be rolled into the loan, however, the lender would not allow that after the paperwork had already been done. Clearly this didn't turn out the way any of us would have preferred which is unfortunate.
