Thank you Valerie and Chris, and the additional staff in Parts and Service that brought all of this together! More

I purchased my 2020 Chevy Silverado in October 2020 from Jhon Turati. Jhon was excellent and deserves a 5 star rating. However, that's where it stops. The service dept is the absolute worst I have ever had Jhon Turati. Jhon was excellent and deserves a 5 star rating. However, that's where it stops. The service dept is the absolute worst I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I've been taking my vehicle in for oil changes to the dealer for all but a couple of times. The vehicle now has 112,000 miles. I brought it in for service as it wasn't running right. They stated I needed to rebuild the engine. I said do the work because I had an extended warranty on the truck. So the insurance company supposedly came out and said they can't make a determination without seeing the inside the valves. Again, given the fact I have an extended warranty, I said go ahead. Once the valve cover was taken off, Matt in the service dept. finally lets me know that there is no way the insurance company will cover the engine as there is too much sludge built up and asks for any and all receipts for oil changes. So he tells me without the couple of receipts for the oil changes done elsewhere, it isn't covered and it will cost $9000 to rebuild. I don't have that kind of money so I find a former mechanic from Dyer who is Chevrolet Certified and he rebuilds it for $5,800. While rebuilding the engine, he states the based upon the amount of sludge in the oil pan, it looks as if the vehicle never had an oil change. He then tells me that when he worked there, the was someone who would change the filter out and top off the oil but never drain the oil. He feels that is what happened. Once complete, he says the vehicle starts but immediately stalls and recommends taking it back to Dyer for a diagnostic test. The car sat at Dyer for over a week before I got tired of waiting and called to be told I need a new engine. I said it was just rebuilt. I called the mechanic who did the work and told him what happened. He went over to the Dyer the next day and spoke with the service manager who he knows and was told no problem. I get a call the next day from Matt telling me that I need a new engine. I said no I don't it was just rebuilt. He said the service manager says a need a new engine and if I don't want the new engine at a cost of $10,000.00 then I need to have the truck towed out of the lot by the end of the day. I met the tow driver at Dyer and it turns out that the vehicle had never been moved from where it was originally dropped off. So, no diagnostic test was ever performed. I have written to the three Dyers who own the dealership and received no response. GM was contacted and said it's a dealer issue, you have to contact Dyer. I have now sent a letter and two emails to the Customer Experience Manager and still no response. I will never have anything to do with Dyer Chevrolet. More
