Every time I am there I am greeted warmly and served quickly. They always look for the best solutions for my service or repair needs without pushing anything expensive or unnecessary. Shocking Customer Service Yesterday i went to nearly every car dealer in Duncan looking for a vehicle, and despite being a women alone i was treated with respect and curtesy an Yesterday i went to nearly every car dealer in Duncan looking for a vehicle, and despite being a women alone i was treated with respect and curtesy and had excellent customer service at all. However none of them had quite the right vehicle fo me. I was excited then to discover something along the lines of what I wanted online at Hyundai in Duncan, and went their today as soon as I could. At first I had to look for a sale person as i could not find one on the floor. After a few mins Jorden appeared. He did not invite me to sit down and right from the start seemed to have a negative attitude towards me. I explained what I was looking for and then asked if he had anything in that range. He sat down and said 'Sorry we cant help you!' I was really surprised and said 'What, you don't have anything at all?'. He said no, not with that price range (up to 25000) I said 'I can pay cash' and he literally sneered and said 'That might have got you somewhere in the 80s but it means nothing nowadays'. I was really shocked, but persevered. I said id seen a couple online the day before which were slightly over budget but i was willing to go over a bit for the right vehicle. He reluctantly took me out to see one because the other one was 'out with the manager and not available'. I took a look and asked for a test drive. I asked if he would bring it to the front (like at every other dealership to avoid driving lots of parked vehicles) but he said 'No we can leave it here'. 'Here' was awkwardly pulled out of the parking space at an angle. When I came back from the test drive I went in but clearly had been written off by him. We sat down again and I said that I had looked at similar vehicles online and found this one to be overpriced. What he said next was shocking and I cant even believe it! He said "I'm not going to take money off a vehicle and lose money on it just to make you happy'. I stood up and said 'It seams like you just don't want to sell me a vehicle' and left. I was so upset and couldn't really believe i had just be treated so badly. I can count on one hand the amount of times Ive complained about anything but had to speak up about this. I rang the sales manager Ryan. He said Jorden was probably offended that i said the vehicle was overpriced! Honestly if the guy gets offended when customers question a vehicles price then he really is in the wrong job. I said i would have like him to explain how they came up with that price, what made that car special, but he didn't even bother. Ryan did say he would pass on my comments and that he was surprised Jorden hadn't given me some options as he had a lot of in my price range! He said it was probably a clash of personalities. Strange really as i haven't experienced a 'clash of personalities' anywhere else in my life and certainly don't expect it when buying a car. He seemed to have made his mind up about me as soon as i walked in. I told the manager to pass on that sale staff should not judge by appearances if that was the reason as i could buy the car outright today. I also said that reputation goes along way in these towns and that bad press spreads! He just laughed that off! Such a shame. I like the car but due to this awful and upsetting experience won't be going back anytime soon and would advice others not to bother either! More
