Duncan Hyundai, Christiansburg, VA - Simply: "The Best" I drove many hours to come into Duncan Hyundai. Actually, more than expected as summer traffic held us up even more. My husband and I were super tire I drove many hours to come into Duncan Hyundai. Actually, more than expected as summer traffic held us up even more. My husband and I were super tired and did not arrive until almost 6p. When we drove up it was evident fairly quickly that people outside the dealership were feeling the same way. I observed folks that looked tired and were distracted. No matter, we were greeted with a wave etc. The dealership had their annual "customer appreciation" day all day in the heat. It meant clearing the whole parking lot of all the inventory and they were finishing parking all the vehicles back in their neatly stacked rows. I told myself probably not the most opportune time to be coming to the business but they have late hours. One of the sales people waved me to park right by door and go on in. I was met by General Manager Matt Hally. He extended his hand and I introduced myself and my husband. Since I knew time was limited I explained that I was here to purchase a 2018 Hyundai Kona in Surf Blue. (FYI: the AWD Kona's are difficult to find in colors much like an evasive unicorn.) Matt and I immediately connected with him explaining their philosophy and no haggle pricing. Let's face it I was sold on the vehicle way before coming into the dealership so it was just a matter of about two minutes they located the inventory number and pulled the car up for the test drive. We were teamed up with Linda Hamelburg for the test drive. While we were gone Matt cued up the start of paper work so I could have a hard copy of their pricing structure. I'm providing a detailed description because paperwork is exhausting and for myself I was hanging on by a thread getting hungry and driving six hours. However, Matt and Linda made it easy all the way around. Matt worked diligently to get the best interest rate on the finance and competitive trade in value for my current vehicle. Linda provided detailed explanation of every piece of paper that required signature. During the transaction everything was professional, organized with a sense of fun. At one point, I remarked to David (my husband) that this must be a dream as everything is just moving forward in warp speed. The final step was meeting with Alan the finance guru. He stepped me through the final process to ensure accuracy of information and the never ending signatures. The whole time he kept it light and easy while taking care of the tedious part of closure to sale. Remember it is getting late and I may have not been at the top of my game at this point but they both reassured me that I was not being difficult. Returning to the main office my new car was washed/cleaned and ready to go. We did the final walk thru of the inside of the vehicle to ensure I didn't drive off without some working knowledge of all the cool bells and whistles. As a small business owner I understand the importance of "great" customer service. So the happy ending is that mama drove off the lot in her turbo Kona. Pleasant and Quick I have been purchasing vehicles for close to 30 years, and I must say, this was about the best experience I have had yet. I was not planning on purch I have been purchasing vehicles for close to 30 years, and I must say, this was about the best experience I have had yet. I was not planning on purchasing a new car, however, after talking to James at Duncan, I realized it would be better for me to purchase a new car. My daughter had a 2007 Hyundai Elantra and it was totaled due to a crash the week before. I had purchased that car used less than 2 years ago and had bought an extended warranty on it. After shopping around for a used car comparable to that car, it was going to cost too much and did not make sense, when I could get a new car that will be warrantied and more reliable. James was so helpful in showing my daughter all the bells and whistles on the car. He made our experience so much nicer by taking the time to help us learn the car instead of "pushing the car down our throats." He let us look on the lot without trying to hover over us. He was very knowledgeable about the car. Due to me having to wait on a check from Erie Insurance to cover the totaled car, I was unable to give the $5,000 down payment. James informed me it would be okay to purchase the car that day and bring the down payment back a few days later. He made sure the car was full of gas and cleaned before we took it home that day. I am definitely going back to Duncan if I ever need to purchase another vehicle. Matt was very courteous and came over and talked with my daughter and I, while we were waiting for the paperwork to process. We enjoyed listening to Matt's stories about past customer experiences. Matt was cheap entertainment for us. I usually hate the whole car-purchasing process, but this was actually a pleasant experience. Many thanks to James and Matt. More

My friend and I went so I could test out a Jeep Regeade Latitude. It drove good but the following : hood latch is broken, light near back plate area is loose, some minor problems. The sales guy named Leo was in my opinion, was pushy and kinda rude when I was test driving it bc I wanted to bring it through town to see how it did and sounded like I was wasting his time. I literally had to get a little attitude with him and explain why I was doing this. When we returned with the car, my friend and I wanted to see under the hood. However, the sales guy, my friend and I tried to open the latch all to find out it was broke. I asked Leo if they could fix it so we could look under. Basically, he said no. It also took forever for someone to even ask if we needed help. We eventually had to go inside to get someone. We left and so I called and asked for the sales manager Matt I think his last name was Haisley and expressed my thoughts about my experience and asked if that I was very interested in buying this vehicle but needed some stuff fixed. Dude basically gave me a attitude when I brought these items to his attention. He was very rude and I don't know what type of management yall have running there but they need to be replaced. I asked him if he would transfer me to his General Manager voicemail he was like the gm isn't taking any phone calls. My friend was like would you buy a house bc you couldn't see on the inside? This Matt guy got all mad and hung up on us. I am letting everyone know NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY BC OF SUCKY CUSTOMER SERVICE! Apparently, they had a showroom of staff but we only saw 1 or 2 employees! Your company just lost out of close to a $15,000 deal. More
