Tom was extremely helpful and very patient with me being picky about the exact right vehicle. Eventually, after the dealership would have normally closed, we found the right car and Tom stayed with us to make sure all the paper work went through. Mike in the Finance dept. was great as well making the process simple to understand and quick. Overall i love my new vehicle and had a great experience with the whole team there. More

Best Buying Experience Ever! This morning, 4/6/15, I began my search in Leesburg and ended up at Dulles Motorcars, 107 Catoctin Circle, SE. My daughter and I went in and were greeted by Ray Hartley, their Fleet Manager. I explained my situation (bad credit coupled with desperately needing transportation), he took us into his office and said "let's figure this out". He went to his whiteboard and wrote down the steps needed to be done, starting with getting credit approval. He said, without that, there was no need to continue, which was so refreshing. In the past, dealers get you all hyped up on the vehicle of your dreams, then you sit for 4 hours just to find out they can't finance you or they can if you can make $800/month payments. I had a title loan on the Mazda and Dulles Motorcars still accepted it in trade and were going to pay off the title loan, they gave me $2800 in trade, which left me speechless!! Ray asked what my monthly limit was, which I told him, and then he went to work. Not only did I get approved by their lender, was able to trade in the crippled Mazda but they were able to put me into a 2013 Jeep Patriot for about what my title loan payments were!! Brittany Hendrickson, their Sales & Leasing Specialist was so nice, worked hard to get my financing and explained everything that was happening. She even apologized when we had to wait for a long period of time, which was no problem since I knew folks my credit take longer than others to get approved. Between Ray and Brittany, this was the BESTEST car buying experience I've ever had and I highly recommended Dulles Motorcars to anyone out there with bad or good credit who are looking for a new or used vehicle. It was so nice not to be treated like a second-class citizen because of my credit and to not being left sitting alone around for hours on end. Ray and Brittany would pop in to update us on what they were doing and where they were in the process. Dulles Motorcars was there when I needed them!! More

A fun test drive and reasonable negotiations led to a very close, but missed deal. The next day they called back and said they would make the deal. After an hour drive to pick up the car, the “manager” said she understood the deal the salesman was “trying” to get for us. We told her he said it was a confirmed deal. He said it wasn’t his fault. She said she could only do it for a higher price. I really think they thought we would pay, instead of wasting our time. No help from management and thrown under the bus by the other sales reps. This dealership just doesn’t get it! Total game players! Don’t drive too far for this one!! More
Dealer Sold Me New Jeep With Sunroof Leak and Water Damage On March 2, 2015, I purchased a 2015 Jeep Cherokee from Dulles Chrysler Dodge Jeep (Dulles Motorcars) in Leesburg, Virginia. When I got home with th On March 2, 2015, I purchased a 2015 Jeep Cherokee from Dulles Chrysler Dodge Jeep (Dulles Motorcars) in Leesburg, Virginia. When I got home with the new car, I began to swap out the carpeted floor mats with all-weather mats I had purchased. I discovered the carpeting under the floor mat on the driver’s side was very wet. My hope was that a window was down and it got wet while being washed for delivery. I immediately called the dealer and scheduled an appointment. The water specialist comes every Wednesday, so I had to wait until March 4 before the vehicle could be looked at. The next day, Tuesday, the carpet began to dry, and I could stains began to appear on the carpeting. Because we had had sleet and snow, I began to be concerned that something more was wrong besides water getting in when the car was cleaned for delivery. About a week later, I noticed a faint stain on the sunroof headliner. I did some research to find out what might cause the carpet on the driver’s side to be wet. I discovered that, in New Jersey, there is a class action lawsuit against Chrysler regarding leaking Jeep sunroofs. The case covers vehicles as far back as 2008 and includes the 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The case number is 3:14-cv-07573. See also jeepsunroofleak.com. On March 4, a third-party water specialist repaired a crimped sunroof drain tube. Even though the car was repaired, it sustained water damage. Water damage affects structure and interior and its effects may not appear for months or years, which makes this a significant problem. This is not a minor problem where repairs can make the car like new. This is not a latch on the glove compartment that was broken and can be repaired, with no affect to value. The general manager at the dealership indicated that if I want a refund, I must deal with the manufacturer. He did offer “as a courtesy” only a replacement Jeep Cherokee with 120 miles on it. I thought I was buying a new car with no defects. I purposely selected a vehicle that no one else had test driven. The odometer reading was 12 miles (I can provide a copy.) I feel that replacing the car with another one with 120 miles on it already is not a satisfactory resolution. Dealerships sell more than 100 cars per month. I buy a new car about every ten years. I believe it was wrong for the dealership to place the burden on me to deal with the manufacturer. Now that I know that Chrysler has been selling Jeeps with defective materials that cause sunroofs to leak, I hesitate to accept even a brand new replacement vehicle, certainly not one without an extended full coverage warranty. In terms of the buying process, consumers must be careful. This dealership will quote you a sale price in e-mail, and then when they put the numbers down on the worksheets, they add back in the destination fee. Destination fee is accounted for in MSRP. So MSRP minus discount equals sale price. If you think you are getting a sale price, check the paperwork for this trick. Sales Mgr Sam Hamadan said "every body does it," so, of course, that makes it OK, right? More

Ray lined up new Durango's and Jeeps, and a used GMC Acadia side by side prior to my arrival and guided me through the process and provided significant detail on each vehicle to help my decision. Ultimately I chose the Durango. Throughout the whole process Ray worked with me to find out my wants and needs and lined me up with the vehicle. He made the whole experience about me, and not about trying to sell me specific models or makes. If there wasn't the right vehicle on the lot for me, Ray offered to search for it and go get it. Overall this was the best car buying experience I have had, and I will definitely buy future vehicles from Ray and send my family and friends to go see him when they need new cars or trucks. More

An Excellent Car Buying Experience When I walked into Dulles Motorcars I immediately felt comfortable. Jim Gates was my salesman and I have to say he was excellent. As a single Woman When I walked into Dulles Motorcars I immediately felt comfortable. Jim Gates was my salesman and I have to say he was excellent. As a single Woman I find car buying extremely intimidating and I am always afraid I will be ripped off. Well not here. I had already been contacted by Jim so he had had an idea what I was looking for. before I walked through the door. Plus He talked about what was a comfortable car payment for me. Long story short. 3 hours later I drove out of there in my new car. I am extremely happy and I would definitely recommend Dulles Motor cars. Ask for Jim Gates. Also Mark Soloman who did my final financing was super friendly and very efficient. More
