He fought for me tooth and nail to get me into the new car and I couldn't be happier. The other salesman, RJ was a huge help in getting the car and making sure I was set and happy. The finance officer who I dealt with, whose name escapes my mind at the moment, was great and reassured me in my decision with our conversation over the numbers and made sure everything went smoothly. Overall, I will be back for the great sales people and friendly atmosphere and most importantly, the amazing coffee. More
Hidden fees I went to check out a used car that was advertised online for a good price. After I test drove the car a salesman priced it out for me. It ended up being ten thousand more than the advertised price because they charged extra for upgrades on the car (and this car was used, not new!) plus a ton of other unnecessary fees. My purpose is to make the buyer aware so that you may avoid the dealership and its numerous issues concerning poor customer service, dishonesty and incompetence. I have previously owned a Dodge Challenger (2012) and had dealings with Dodge dealerships related to that earlier purchase. As an aside, and for purposes of comparison, I have also owned Cadillacs, Audis, a Mercedes, a VW, Fords, and a Chevy all since my retirement from the Marine Corps. Back in my service days I owned a variety of used cars. Buying from Dulles Motor Cars is an experience I would equate with buying a used car from a discount lot in a military town... truly awful yet worse and unlike that I have enjoyed with the dealerships associated with the brands above. No kidding, my experience at Dulles Motor Cars was the absolute worst I have ever had. My sales rep lied, changing the previously agreed to (in writing) price for an option I wanted. The quoted price of 998 USD hit 1,771 USD less than 24 hours later as I sat down with my sales rep. I asked why the stripes (the option was racing stripes) cost so much more than what had been quoted to me just hours earlier. He explained that his earlier quote failed to take into account the delicate nature of the stripes and the need to ship them in ten special boxes to protect them. I have mailed them from all over the world, I have mailed boxes weighing over 50 pounds and insured some for as much as 800 USD. I have used every type of carrier and method (normal, rush and so on) and NEVER did that add up to anything like the BS my sales rep was trying to sell. I told him to take them out of the deal and not to bother ordering them. He replied that he thought I really wanted them. I replied that I would simply order them from Dodge related sites for about 460 USD, including pinstripes, and shipped for less than 25 USD via UPS. He answered that for that price I could not possibly get what I wanted and that what I would be ordering was a stripe package that did not cover the bumpers and that was why what he was offering cost more (it included the bumpers). I told him that was a lie, that while numerous websites offered multiple versions of stripes the price I was quoting him was inclusive of the bumpers and pin striping. Still not willing to let it go, the sales rep retreated back to lie one saying that while it "may be true" that the decals were available for the price I stated, he was certain that they were not shipped with much care. Utter crap! I could ship an original Fabergé Egg less expensively (save insurance for the actual value of the Egg) than this guy was trying to convince me was needed to ship flat pieces of vinyl. When I went to sign my contract there was one more surprise. The dealership added a 5k deposit to the sales contract which made the numbers of my monthly payment seem more attractive than they were and I believe this was a deliberate attempt to entice me to purchase a number of add ons. That said it did not take much time to change the contract, it just seemed shady. I left the dealership happy with my car but thinking that the buying experience was the worst I ever had. The used car lots I purchased from when I was 18 to 42 were better than what I had just endured! Yet it was about to get worse. When I got the car home I noticed two small but down to the metal scratches in the right side mirror. Now I knew why the car was left in a dark corner of the lot for me to walk to and take delivery of rather than being brought out in front of the showroom for me to inspect before taking delivery. It is my fault for not having carefully examined the car first. My only excuse for my failure to do so is that all of my previous experiences when buying a new car, whether high end or low, had been nothing but positive. Ladies and gentlemen, Dulles Motor Cars blows in ways unique to it. From sales to customer care it is absolutely the worst dealership I have ever interacted with. They make the car buying experience so bad that you long to be a customer at New Deal Used Cars (for those of you who have seen the movie 'Used Cars'. I love my car but would rather drive a Smart Fortwo than endure the sales experience one gets at Dulles Motor Cars. More

We purchased a brand new jeep renegade from them 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and just got our second key the day after Christmas, because they lost the key!! They promised they would call me when the key came in and I never heard from them. So I called them the week after thanksgiving and they said they had the key and I would need to call back to set up an appointment.. I called back to set it up on Christmas Eve because My husband doesn't drive this to work everyday because of gas and mileage... We made it for 3:30 because He works at the airport and gets off at 3:00. The day before they call and confirm the appointment, and along with that I had an email telling me they would leave the check they owed us. mY husband showed up at 3:29 on Christmas Eve and everyone had left and they didn't have the check!! He was furious it was Christmas Eve he wasted his time running there since they couldn't help him because they closed early... On Saturday my family went with me since my husband had to work! The manager tried telling me he didn't show up until 6 and we were sitting at church at 6:00. I have a text that shows what time He arrived!! We told them we would like to have our check and have our key programed and they couldn't even find the check or the key they told me they had!! Finally they found it and we left!! While waiting for the key to be programmed a lady heard me talking and told me she bought a car in July and they still hadn't given her extra key and that was why she was there!!I will NOT be taking our jeep there to get it serviced when it comes time and I will NEVER buy another car there!! Had they called us Christmas Eve to tell us they were closing early it would've been ok! There is a lack of communication between departments not to mention we had to put miles and gas in the car that was not needed. While purchasing the car we had a very nice manager help us out with blonde hair, but he was about the only one there of any help!! More
