Many other Car repairs shop try to get our busines (even at a cheaper price), but, I must say I trust Mr. Higbie opinion when he calls us and tell us what maybe the problem with our vehicles. We bought an Impala LT from Stan Bell a month ago, and we enjoyed our experience with Stan. We have thoroughly enjoyed the Impala LT, and therefore decided to trade our other car in towards the purchase of enjoyed our experience with Stan. Needed my power window repaird on my full size blazer. They said the whole unit needed to be replaced because of the way it was made. I didn't understand why the motor could't just replaced but I took the They said the whole unit needed to be replaced because of the way it was made. I didn't understand why the motor could't just replaced but I took their word for it. After 3 replacement units failed, They said they had a motor in stock and replaced the bad one on the unit they just put in. I don't get it !!! Also, the AC quit working on our Silverado truck we bought from Duke and again they said the whole AC unit needed to be replaced and would cost well over $1000.00. After going without AC for a couple of summers, I had the truck at Tread Quaters for new tires and I asked them to check the AC. The only problem with the AC was that the belt that runs the compressor was missing.I didn't know there was a seperate belt for the AC. They put a belt on for way less than $100.00. The thing that made me mad was that I took Dukes word and went without AC for a couple of summers. It works great now. I don't understand why my wife keeps going back for service but she's starting to see the light.She'll be getting a new vehicak in the next few months and she finaly said she's not sure she'll buy from Duke. We live in Va. Beach and we thought we found our GM dealership for ever. My wife keeps thinking Duke will all of a sudden change their service practices. Because of their practices, I just bought a 12 passanger Savana van from another GM dealer. That's a $40,000.00 sale lost because of not being honest with me.I don't want any special treatmen, I just want a dealer that will shoot straight with me. By the way, I love my Savana van and will always buy GM. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on you. More
