We stopped by Duke Automotive just to look at a particular color we had not yet seen on the Equinox. Stan Bell greeted us and was professional, friendly, but not pushy. Before we knew it we were taking a test drive and asking for a quote. Three days later we were meeting with Stan and Don Kelly to finalize the purchase of our new car. Worked with us on price of purchase. Did not feel pressured at all. We had visited several other dealerships in seach of vehicle and were basically "attacked" before we could get out of our vehicle a pressured at all. I bought a 2012 Buick Enclave today. The entire purchase experience was such a pleasure. I went by the dealership to look at the cars, made a decision on which car I wanted and made arrangements to purchas experience was such a pleasure. I went by the dealership to look at the cars, made a decision on which car I wanted and made arrangements to purchase it today - and I could not be happier with how smoothly the process went, how fairly I was treated and how professional and friendly Jerry Butler has been during the entire time. I would highly recommend (and I will to my family and friends) buying cars from Jerry Butler and the Duke Automotive Corporation. I would also like to give Don Kelly high marks for making the "paperwork" so easy for me as a customer. All the paperwork was orderly, clear and because of this was not time consuming or burdensome. I also would like to give Duke Automotvie high marks for their service department - especially Scott Hifgbie. Every time I call to make an appointment, bring my car in for service and pay for the services it has been a good experience. I feel when I have any service done that it is done by people who really care and work on my car as if it were their own. Jerry, Don and Scott have been great people to work with and I would highly recommend them to my family and friends! Duke Automotive should be proud to have them as their representatives. More

We were in the market for a smaller vehicle, mainly a crossover type. We researched several articles on the Chevrolet Equinox which we thought was the right vehicle for us. We are residents of Suffolk and wanted to deal with a local dealership and we had purchased a new truck from Duke several years ago. So, we drove to Duke, test drove an Equinox and was pleased with its performance. After telling our sales person, Sarah Wright, what specifications we wanted she and Bruce Blythe were able to find the vehicle for us. Everything went very smoothly from test driving the vehicle to signing all the paperwork. More

This was great because it reduced the time we had to spend in the dealership and got us out the door in our new car!!!! Your prices were right on with what several sources said the car is worth. Staff was friendly, Brandy and Richard were great and the final price of the vehicle was a good value - I believe. Three issues soured me on what would have been considered a great over-all car buying experience. 1. Minor - Initial price quote in e-mail from Bruce did not state that our GM credit, GM Rebate and cash down payment had already been deducted from the quote. Big disappointment when your expected $4000.00 additional savings has evaporated after the test drive. Bruce apoligized for the oversight and we understood and moved forward to purchase. 2. Major - Applied for financing, had two phone conversations with Bruce and was informed that the loan was approved and when requested, he quoted the interest rate for the loan. I approved going forward with the purchase based on the info. provided by Bruce @ the interest rate quoted. Then scheduled to pick up the vehicle that same evening. Got a call from Bruce about four hours later that same day, while we were enroute, to collect the vehicle. He informs me that the interest rate he'd quoted me, earlier in the day, was now a full 2 points higher than originally quoted. Bruce stated that both he and the finance manager failed to observe/read the "fine print" with Allied because it came out of Florida instead of Richmond. Classic bait and switch B.S., that I was hoping not to encounter at Duke. Then the finance manager feins chest pains at such a discovery. Insults my intellegence. So basically over the life of the loan, the $ difference in the interest rate wiped out the so called GM credit we used to buy the car. Honestly, I was furious at what I considered to be a misrepresentation and would have walked away at that point, had the vehicle not been exactly what my wife wanted and we had not already invested several weeks of our time, searching for her a vehicle. So I ate the inflated interest rate and we purchased the vehicle. I'm still hot under the collar about how it came down with regards to the interest rate snafu. Would never believe that your sales manager and finance manager could both screw up something that important, to a prospective buyer one hour before delivery of the vehicle. Will not soon forget this and I'm personally still angry, with myself, for not walking away from that vehicle and Duke. Because of this it's doubtful, at this time, that I would recommend Duke Automotive to my family, friends, or the 92 employees that work for me. 3. Minor - DVD install scheduled after purchase was postponed after my wife had showed up at the dealership, as agreed, for the scheduled install. Told about some screw-up on DVD received was not as ordered. However, the correct DVD was installed within the next day or so. So far she seems happy with the vehicle/DVD. More
Jerry was a wonderful salesman. Jerry has to be the best salesman I've ever come in contact with. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicle as well as courteous and friendly.
