This was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I was prepared for the stereotyping car buying experience of a dealer of undervaluing your trade-in, overvaluing the car you want, using high-pr had. I was prepared for the stereotyping car buying experience of a dealer of undervaluing your trade-in, overvaluing the car you want, using high-pressure sales tactics, and trying to get you to buy unnecessary extended warranties. I did not experience any of that at Duke. They gave me $300 more than my trade-in was worth and I ended up paying $2000 less than the Kelley Blue Book value. Best of all, I did not experience any of the usual high-pressure sales tactics typical at a lot of dealerships. In fact, they didn't mind when I wanted to leave after the test drive and take 24 hours to think about buying the car. Overall, the entire staff at Duke was very professional and curteous. I also felt like I bought a great used car at a great price. More
Jerry was so helpful and friendly--he made us feel right at home and worked with us to find exactly the right car and price we could afford. He did his best to make us feel like we were dealing with a friend. Everyone we met at this dealership was courteous and friendly, going well above the norm to make sure we had everything we needed. I believe they care about their customers and that it wasn't all about selling a car for them--they wanted us to walk away happy and definitely went the extra mile to make that happen. The Duke service department is staffed with very competent mechanics and service personnel. Scott has consistantly demonstrated a vast knowledge of GM products and understands the maintenanc action competent mechanics and service personnel. My car is 8 years with 118K miles and performs very well. Scott and his service team is responsible for the longevity of the car. Scott is very generous with his time when dealing with a coustomer and never appears to be in a hurry. Scott is friendly and courteous and is a great ambassador for Duke. I would strongly recommend Scott to friends and family in need of maintenance on their car. More

The Duke Family dealership is just that, they make you feel like family. They live and work in our community and know the importance of GREAT service. I have had all of my repairs completed at "Duke". I get friendly, honest, and knowledgeable service. I would not know what to do without Scott Higbie. He is my go to guy. Always friendly and professional. Even when I call at the last minute, which is a norm for me. He continues to find a way to solve my problem. He knows my concerns and always explains things so that I can understand the repair. He makes sure things go smooth for me and that is not easy. He makes sure that I get the right service completed at the right time. He accomodates my schedual and makes sure that I get ride to work and back. He knows I am partial to my technicain and makes sure to always schedual my work with Craig. Since the both of them have more than 20 years experience I know I am in good hands. My husband and I started looking for a newer model Buick Enclave in early December to replace our 2009 model. Because none of the vehicles we previewed came close to the comforts to which we had become accustomed as far as the available premium features, we chose to hold on to our 2009 Buick Enclave. Now, we are very familiar with the adage “save the best for last”, but we never expected the service we received from the moment we arrived at Duke Automotive in Suffolk, VA! Upon our arrival we were greeted by a cheerful and welcoming Duke Automotive “family” and then introduced to our sales consultant, Jerry Butler. Jerry listened intently as we explained what we were looking for and then escorted us to a side carport area where he had an Enclave on display with a personalized welcome sign hanging from the rear view mirror --- what a pleasant and unexpected surprise! When we began discussing the possibility of a lease, Jerry immediately informed us that the available leasing option would be on 2013 Enclaves and there was one on the way. While we were in Jerry’s office discussing the particulars, we had the pleasure of meeting Lydia Duke, Eley Duke III and Don Kelly who all humbly expressed their appreciation for our business. Our very first visit to Duke Automotive was unlike any other car-buying experience; it was like visiting family we had not seen in a while and catching up on all that we’d missed. The day we picked up our new 2013 Buick Enclave the entire process was streamlined; Jerry methodically handled each step up until the moment we drove away. My husband and I are very happy that we “saved the best for last” and we are looking forward to a longstanding relationship with our new family at Duke Automotive in Suffolk, VA. More
