Hi Matthew, I tried sending you an email but didn't hear back from you so wanted to make sure you got this. I spoke with Richard Potts our service manager. The recall times GM sends are actually not the correct time to repair, but actually the amount of time they will only pay the dealership. Most all recalls take longer than what they state. With out a requested time on the night drop your vehicle got delayed, I do apologize for this, but without a time requested on the night drop we do at times hold off cars to make sure we can get the customers that are here waiting out faster. They also had Bill Lassesn, our shop foreman look at your Service engine Soon light concern and confirmed the catalytic converter issue. This would have added to the time, I also don’t believe we charged a diagnosis charge for this. We are not equipped to do extensive exhaust work or repair exhaust systems. Our only option is to replace and yes the GM exhaust are very expensive. I believe Ashley explained all this to you. However I am happy to hear you were able to get it done and save yourself some money. If you could help us make sure we know to get your car done as quickly as possible, be sure to fill out on the night drop or let your advisor know what time you would like to pick it up. Hi Ty, I am sorry to hear we let you down. I spoke to our service team and they were running 20 minutes behind that day which they informed everyone of. Our tech did accidentally spill oil, which led to him spending a lot of time cleaning it. If he had not, it would have been an awful odor of burnt oil.
