Very Good Buying Experience We used a couple of car buying services that led us to Downtown Subaru. We used the USAA Trucar service to come in with a starting price point. Afte We used a couple of car buying services that led us to Downtown Subaru. We used the USAA Trucar service to come in with a starting price point. After we talked to Chris Knapp about every possible question on the car and its' systems he took us on several test drives of various vehicles we were interested in. Once we got to the negotiating phase Chris had Tim come in and he was more than accommodating in reaching a satisfactory price for us. When we went to do the financing it was also a big pleasant surprise. No pressure to buy the more expensive options. Oh, and did I mention that Tim held the car and the negotiated price until we could return from a trip. All in all it was a pleasant surprise and a easy buying experience. Chris even offered to have us come back after awhile so he could explain the new car systems in more detail. He said "the relationship doesn't end when the paperwork is signed". I expect to continue this relationship for some time! More

Bought a used car back in August 2013. Had considered a used Hyundai, but bought a 2012 Nissan. Finance Mgr added gap insurance and a generic warranty to our contract without even asking. Granted we sho used Hyundai, but bought a 2012 Nissan. Finance Mgr added gap insurance and a generic warranty to our contract without even asking. Granted we should have read over the contract, I thought they were a more respectable dealership than that and would not have been so shady.. After a very heated confrontation with the General Mgr and a visit from someone from my atty's office, we got a refund for the gap policy and the warranty. The Finance Mgr had a problem with telling the truth. He said the warranty was through Lloyds of London.....that should have raised a red flag....that was almost comical. His reason for adding the items was because he hated to see anyone buy a used car and not have a warranty even though the car still had a factory warranty left. Why he couldn't ask first if we wanted it, I don't understand. Don't know why he added the gap insurance. We put $6,000 down on the car. It's not like we were upside down on the deal. It goes to show you that you should never trust anyone. Even though they are this big dealership, does not mean they are an honest and trustworthy dealership. When I confronted the General Mgr about the situation, he was rude and not willing to see listen to what we had to say about the whole deal. I would never buy another car from them and certainly not recommend anyone else to buy from them. More
