We were in We were traveling and about 260 miles from home. A couple days before, our Odessey service light came on indicating 15% oil life remaining. We were in Southern Maine and as we left our hotel we saw the low tire pressure light on. This has happened on two of our Honda's before and always turned out to be tire punctures, that were not repairable. I contacted Dover Honda and spoke with Jen in service. She was extremely helpful, and although it was a Saturday and they had a full schedule, she said to come by and they would try to help us. We made it there without issues, and Jen actually met us as we pulled up. Extremely friendly, courteous, and efficient customer service. We were very lucky in that the low tire pressure this time was only due to the drastic change in temperatures. They also took the time to do our oil and filter service which was great since we still had many more miles of traveling in the area before heading home! Overall, outstanding visit in all respects! Thanks! More
Did a great job on a Honda Recall but Besides the recall service they did an under car inspection I did not request (the recall did not need it being on a lift). I was told I needed an im Besides the recall service they did an under car inspection I did not request (the recall did not need it being on a lift). I was told I needed an immediate $510 in ball joint repair and valve adjustments. A thorough inspection by my mechanic showed that in his opinion, these repairs were unnecessary (in fact one ball joint had recently been replaced). My opinion is get a second opinion at this dealership. Otherwise they are quite pleasant. Honda makes great cars, don't be duped into unnecessary repairs; you are much better off with your local mechanic as they will not cheat you because they want your long term business and are generally your neighbor as well. PS service guy: the oil had just been changed, that was my "oil leak", this little Element does not leak oil! More

Days before,I had received a recall notification for my Honda Accord.I was amazed that I was able to get an appointment so promptly. When I arrived for the appointment,I was greeted immediately by an attentive Service Technician. The work was done promptly and well. The same woman that arranged for the work to be completed called me to let me know the work was completed. When I arrived at the service desk to sign the paperwork,The woman that had been so polite and professional before, was engaged in what seemed to be a personal conversation with another employee.I waited patiently for a few moments, cleared my throat a few times, and the personal conversation continued.I began to feel like "The invisible Man".Finally, another Service Tech arrived and helped me complete the required paperwork and directed me to my car. The work was completed, and my car was even washed before I picked it up.I've never had that level of service from any other service department before. More

I was impressed to find that she was genuinely interested in using the feedback to improve customer service. I found Nancy to be very professional and very sincere. She reviewed the situation with me, took notes, identified opportunities for training staff and improving customer services processes and ultimately made an effort to get help for me on a Honda warranty-related issue. She also offered to provide some assistance from the dealership and to arrange for the paint job that the roof of my car needs at this time due to an error at the Honda factory. While I was disappointed that Honda didn't ultimately cover the whole thing (it seemed to me that my circumstances ought to have warranted this), they did respond to her request by offering to pay all but $400 on the paint job, rental not included, Nancy offered $200 from the dealership to defray some of the cost to me and made all the arrangements with the body shop. Now, after my frustrating experiences with the service manager and with going it alone with American Honda on this, I felt that this was far more reasonable than what I was offered to solve this problem before (which was next to nothing). While I would have left there walking on air had I only had to cover the rental myself (and none of the paint job), I at least left there feeling that I had dealt with an honest person who was making a sincere effort to provide quality service. I have decided to post, for now, on the initial problem-solving effort then post again after this transaction is completed (which should be at the end of next week). I'm hopeful that I'll have another good experience -- maybe even a stellar one (five stars and all that). I am also cautiously optimistic that there will be improvements in customers' service experience as the general manager uses feedback to help employees respond more effectively to the needs of customers. I have enough confidence in the general manager that I think that I will be able to continue to have my car serviced there, as I have for the last eight years What I will recommend to other customers at this point is this: If you have any problem with Honda Service, you may want to contact the General Manager at Dover Honda Chevrolet, Nancy Oeser. I think you will find in her a competent professional who is interested in solving your problem and in using feedback to improve the quality of service in the future. More
13 Years of Great Service.... Comes to a Screetching Halt. I am really sad to write this review. I have loved this dealership for 13 years and now will NEVER return. A little background: I have owned 4 Hondas I am really sad to write this review. I have loved this dealership for 13 years and now will NEVER return. A little background: I have owned 4 Hondas, keeping them for an average of 7-9 years. I only go to the dealer to service them and have been with this dealership for the last 13 years. The reason I go to the dealership is because I was sick of dishonest "Up-Selling" from the quick oil change places. The people in the service department are new and so is their business model. I feel ripped off - and as a single mother who lives paycheck to paycheck, I simply cannot afford an unexpected $1,000 bill for a perfectly running car! I needed an oil change, so I made an appointment. I was told it was time for a scheduled service ($500). I swallowed hard and went ahead with the appointment. I trusted Dover Honda. When they told me I my brake pads were worn, I believed them. When they told me that a bunch of fluids needed to be flushed, above and beyond the "Service C", I believed them. Then I heard them "Up-Selling" other people in the waiting room. It made me sick. Now I have another $1,000 on my credit card and have no idea how I am going to pay it off. You just cost my daughter summer camp, our annual vacation to StoryLand, and I have to scrimp on groceries for a long time. I am mad at myself for being so trusting. My next car will NOT be a Honda and I will NOT go back to this dealership. Please stop Up-Selling your loyal customers! Trust is a big deal and you are blowing it big time. I hope the extra $500 you got off me was worth losing a customer. More
