Again, when a customer asks to check "ALL" credit unions.....and finance institutions for the best rate..Wife has over a 800 credit score....She was told this was the best rate.....My wife did not receive the best rate. I refinanced my Subaru last week...off lease...and received 2.39 thru Service Credit Union for 72 months. It took 1 hour to get approved, received 20 day plate, and inspection. She was told that it takes 2 weeks....Again, she never received any paperwork.....or a 20 day plate, or inspection....she was asked to come in with a copy of her drivers license on Tuesday...she did...and she received another call for her to contact our insurance company for a binder....she will not do this...as she wants to cancel the process and go thru Service Credit Union. She is interested in the extended warranty...but again needs information on the coverage...never received any info/paperwork from you guys. She was told that she has to wait to receive her first payment...from Eastern Bank...pay that before she can refinance thru Service Credit Union.....nonsense...She will then have to register her car 2 times....thru Eastern and then Service Credit Union as there would be different lien holders....This will cost us $ to register 2 times. Again, we are very upset about the interest rate she received....very deceptive....and the length of time it takes to purchase off lease, Again, I was in and out in 1 hour. When it came time to negotiate the price, I offered one price, then I was counter-offered with a price I was very happy with. The purchase price included a car detailing, and let me say, by the time they finished detailing the car, it looked brand new, inside and out. This was very important to me since this car was an anniversary gift to my wife and they did not let me down. I have to admit that I am a Ford only owner, and that this dealer had the used car I was looking for. With that said, I still highly recommend this dealership for a new or used vehicle. The entire buying process was a very, very good experience and I would buy a vehicle from them again! More
I have been a Dover Honda customer for the last 6 years. I have yet to run into an employee who isn't completely caring, professional and courteous. I have always gone to Dover Honda for my service and when I recently went through a major life change, I shared that with the service department and they couldn't have been kinder. They worked with me every time I needed service to explain to me what the car needed and could wait to have fixed. Nick, Virginia and Larry could not have been more compassionate, helpful or honest. Virginia sat with me through tears at one point and I felt like I was the only customer there. She and Larry couldn't have been kinder. They don't realize what an impact they made on me. I knew that when the time was right I would buy myself a new Honda at Dover Honda. Firstly, the product is fantastic. I have never had a problem with my last Honda. Yesterday I purchased my very first new car in 25 years in my own name and what an emotional experience. My Honda "family" was extremely supportive, kind and listened to my needs and concerns. They worked diligently to ensure I had a purchase that was safe and affordable. They also treated me like a real person, they also listened. They even counseled me on some things that I didn't know about and would help me in the long run. I felt like they completely cared about me as a person and my new car is just the icing on the cake. They have made a lifelong customer of me. I would especially commend Rick, Zep, Bruce, Nick, Sue and I apologize for not knowing the rest of the staff's names but I sat there for 4 hours and witnessed all of the same professionalism and courtesy from them as well. What a dealership and what a great "family"! I realize they all do this on a daily basis but they were part of a significant change in my life and my gratitude and appreciation is immeasurable. Lisa, did an awesome job as did the finance mananger. Poor response to complaints !!! The response to my complaint and other complaints do not address the behavior of the staff and yourself as the. Sales General Manager. Why would anyone come back because your response did NOT include corrective actions, You could have gained some credibility by addressing the problems seen by customers. Most customers do not bother to comment they just go elsewhere. We take our time to tell you and again you prove that you just don't get it !!!!! So with that said the only good that will come of this is that I hope I can WARN people so they don't have to experience the UNPROFESSIONAL behavior at Dover Honda. More
NEVER GO TO DOVER HONDA!!! EVER!!! My experience here was completely ridiculous. After inquiring about a used car that they had in stock online, getting confirmation that it was available and then filling ou completely ridiculous. After inquiring about a used car that they had in stock online, getting confirmation that it was available and then filling out my financing application, I went into the dealership and stood around for 10-15 minutes with at least 4 people passing me or standing around chatting....not one staff member took the time to even acknowledge my existence, including the sales manager, Alan, who was carrying on a conversation at the main desk on the showroom floor about his personal life. I emailed the dealership back letting them know that I had stood around and didn't see the car I wanted on the lot and told them how I left without even talking to anyone. They apologized and convinced me to comeback, telling me that they had a vehicle in stock. When I got to the dealership they "couldn't find it"?! We spent over an hour and a half with them randomly walking around pretending to look for the vehicle. As we were about to leave, they magically located the car, showed it to me and after having me fill out paperwork (including another financing app), told me that they could not sell it to me because they didn't have the title. Rich, the salesman that we were working with was awful, trying to sell me on options that you'd expect in any vehicle. In addition, they took the keys on my trade and held them hostage at the customer service desk for over an hour as they took my deposit. They assured me that they had another car in stock at another dealer that they had expected to arrive that afternoon and then convinced me to leave a $500 deposit on the "identical" vehicle that "would be in stock next day". Day after day after day they told me the car "hadn't showed up yet, it would be here today". They never called with a status, we always had to call them. I've visited the dealership more than 5 times asking to see the car or get my $ back if they didn't have it!!! On one of the previous visits, they told me they could now sell me the car that they didn't have the title for. They "hadn't considered that option". It met my requirements so I'm not sure why it slipped their mind!Gary explained that we were only several thousand dollars apart to make the deal and that I needed to come up with more money but wouldn't tell me the price of the car or how much more they would give me for my trade. On top of that, within 4 days they increased the online price for that very car, $1000. After a WEEK's worth of back and forth I still don't have my deposit back!! I went in tonight to get my deposit and apparently the 10 people that were working didn't know how to refund my money, including the sales manager. We keep getting the run around over and over again. When I asked for my refund tonight, Alan told me that "they were looking for other cars to sell me". REALLY?!! I don't want another car!! My husband and I have both left several messages for Gary and Rich and NEVER get a call back. If they do pickup the phone, they assure me that they will call me back within the hour and I hear nothing. I'm going back tomorrow when the people who know how to work a credit card machine are back...so they can give me my money!! If they keep giving me the run around, I guess I have no choice but to call the PD??? THIS IS INSANE!!! I have never had such an awful experience at a car dealership before. More
