We purchased a vehicle last September 24, 2022. Our sales representative was Stone who did an excellent job and we would give him 5 stars if we can have a separate rating for him. I was with my husband and Stone spoke to both of us, not just with my husband which is a common practice in car dealerships. I find this very respectful and professional. My husband appreciated his relaxed, laid-back approach. Again, 5 STARS for him, which is why we would still recommend this dealership. Unfortunately, the same thing cannot be said about the financial rep Noah. Noah was pleasant for the most part. However, we did not appreciate two things that happened at the dealership: 1. We already told both Stone and Noah that we were pre-approved by our credit union, so we do not need any financing at the dealership. Despite this, our credit was still checked. We were told that it was standard procedure. The credit check happened while we were waiting in the main showroom. We were finally called into Noah’s office to sign the paperwork. We were given a stack of papers to sign. My husband already signed the top form, thinking it was the trade-in paperwork. However, I noticed that it was a credit application form. I did not sign the paperwork and reminded Noah that we do not need financing. It was a good thing I saw the “Credit Application” at the top of the form or we would have been tricked into financing at 4.5% interest when our credit union gave us a lower rate. This is a very shady practice and this is unacceptable. We received 2 letters from Grow Financial 2 weeks later, stating that they cannot approve our credit application which we made on Sept 24. We did not apply for any loan with Grow Financial Credit Union, so we know for certain that this application happened at the dealership. Not only did the dealership try to open a car loan when we repeatedly told them that we already have financing, but our credit was also checked AGAIN, which may hurt our credit score. Completely shady and I will not trust the finance department of this dealership again. 2. We prefer to have a locking gas cap to protect our vehicle. I pointed out that the vehicle we were looking at did not have a locking gas cap. Noah said that all vehicles have a gas tank cover that locks when the door locks are engaged. Well, that is not true and a downright lie. Again, our sales rep Stone was excellent and we hope that we can have a sales rep like him when we eventually decide to get another vehicle. Unfortunately, the finance person is very shady and we would not want to deal with him again. More

Again my family has purchased a vehicle from Douglas Jeep in Venice. Always our go to dealership. From my company vehicles to my childrens. My children are grown now and have purchased new vehicles this year in Venice. Always our go to dealership. From my company vehicles to my childrens. My children are grown now and have purchased new vehicles this year already, it has become multigenerational. We have had, my business, personal, children's, wives and ex wives purchasing vehicles from there for 15 years. Although each has there favorite salesman, I have my own Paul. He kept tabs on the flow of vehicles to find the best match for my youngest daughter, which I purchased on August 20th 2022 that is more than above and beyond. He knows what Im looking for and keeps it in mind as the stock replenishes. This time it took 2 weeks to find the right fit. That right there proves he is not about production numbers as much as actually helping his customer. There service repair and detail is unmatched. John the heads that dept. cannot be matched. There has never been anything that he can't make right for his customers at least from my personal experience. Top notch detailing and tinting provided by Chad in that dept. is so intuitive about his customers my tint was done on pickup without even asking. This site needs a 7th star in my opinion. As a small business owner in Venice I expect to be treated as well as I treat my own customers. Never been failed. Regards More
