dropped off my vehicle to get checked for a windshield light and the start ignition button. As soon as I mentioned the button, the service agent began to speak to me in a condescending manner with an unpl light and the start ignition button. As soon as I mentioned the button, the service agent began to speak to me in a condescending manner with an unpleasant attitude. He wanted me to pay $199 for a security fee to get this checked because the fact that the button wasn't working was, according to him, my fault, and kept repeating that I must have "spilled coffee", he knew this from his "years of experience”. When I went to Rick Case (dealer where the car was purchased) on July of last year, they were just going to change it at no extra charge, however due to me leaving the country for some months, I never got to check back in with them to get this done. Yet, they did not blame me for anything or want to charge me for anything. After this whole situation, where I told this person to not even look at it because I did not have the money to pay for it, I was sent on a Lyft to the wrong location. I had to go back to class and explicitly stated the name of the location, the numbers in the address were changed and I was dropped off a 50-minute walk away from the actual location. I tried to contact this person again and received a response saying, "I added the address you mentioned. On the way back just verify the correct address so we can get you picked up at the right spot. I'll also make sure it gets back to your number." I sent back the correct address, which is the one of the place I asked to get dropped off originally, and asked if there was a way to get one from where I was dropped off at to the right location. I also called back and received no immediate response, I did receive a call from a nice woman later on asking why I called. At that point, since I had not received a response from the service agent, I ordered and paid for an Uber myself. I did not receive any further updates on the car until later in the afternoon, when he called and told me that they had deduced it was in fact "coffee spilled" and could not replace the button for me and that the car was ready for pickup. Thankfully, I did not have to deal with this person any further. Considering the condescending and nightmarish treatment by the service representative, I would much rather drive the extra 20 minutes to the dealer where I bought the car. More
