Too much focus on upsell I have been coming to Donley for 40 years and have always felt like I received excellent service, however, this last time makes me question if they tr I have been coming to Donley for 40 years and have always felt like I received excellent service, however, this last time makes me question if they truly have my best interest at heart. I purchased my 2017 Escape in November and one of the things that sold me was the Certified Pre Owned warranty. I brought it in for the oil change and tire rotation and within 5 minutes of sitting in the lobby I was hit with what looked like a bunch of wadded up cotton xxxxx and was told that all my filters were dirty and it looked like something was building a nest in my cabin compartment. (I drive approximately 30 miles every day to work so I'm sure I would have noticed something like that.) My only conclusion is that it must have been that way when I bought the car. Second, I was hit that the chrome around my lugnuts was swollen and that if I didn't take care of it, I would be stranded and unable to change a tire on my own. If I am purchasing a certified preowned vehicle and these things occur in 8 months, I feel as though it wasn't inspected well before I bought it. (Or else Ford has greatly diminished in quality parts) Seriously! I have to replace lug nuts?!?!?! I know the service people want to insure my safety but I feel a though I was deliberately targeted for upsell or else I was sold a bill of goods when I bought the car. More
