2 Hour plus Oil Change I called today for an oil change appointment. I noted I had a coupon and was quickly told the price would not be honored because my car requires spec I called today for an oil change appointment. I noted I had a coupon and was quickly told the price would not be honored because my car requires special oil. If there was a disclosure I didn't see it (false advertising). I checked in and the sales rep was friendly and quick telling me I would pay a certain amount, which is still discounted even though I couldn't get the rotation/oil change amount on the coupon. I waited and waited and after 1 1/2 hours finally the service rep came to tell me the oil filter was not in stock and would arrive from NAPA in about 10 minutes. About 1/2 hour later after a total of 2 plus hours the car was ready. I went to check out and the price I was quoted was not on the invoice. The person handling the invoice payment was kind, made the change, and I paid. While waiting in line a woman who came in after me and waited a long time too was given a free oil change/rotation. I was not offered anything. Although I saw the Service Manager walking around while I waited I was never approached to see why I was still there. I can get my car and oil change anywhere. I buy cars where the service is good, rather than the other way around. My disappointment should show. I don't plan to use Don Mealey again! Disappointed Customer, Don Dunn More
Outstanding buying experiences On January 2, 2015 I walked in to Don Meally Chevrolet late in the afternoon to look at the Chevy Equinox's to see their selection . I meet Dennis and told him I wanted to trade my 2012 but I was worried about it being an upside down deal he told me it was not a problem him and Rodney put me at ease and insured me that I could do the deal with the same payment I was paying and with no money down. I have bought outer car for Chevy dealer in NYC and let me say what a pleasure it was to deal with these two gentleman . I would recommend Denis and Rodney for a no hassles up front deal .. More

He listened to exactly what I wanted, and made sure I was totally happy. He took the time to listen patiently and found my dream car that will pull my boat for my dog and me (a beautiful Tahoe that rides like a dream). He was absolutely wonderful and even followed up with me on his day off to make sure I was taken care of!!. I also received a great deal as well!! Rodney in Finance was fantastic too. He made sure I got the lowest interest and even shopped for a lower rate after I signed and it dropped 4 more percent!! I will go straight to Don Mealey for my next vehicle in the future! More

In all honesty, we have never experienced the level of service from a car dealership that we did from Don Mealey Chevrolet. From the minute we walked in the door we felt comfortable and at home with Eric, our salesman. He worked with us thru several very trying months, due to personal problems that had to be solved before purchasing this new car. Equally hepful was Jason, the manager, who help guide us thru the unique problems we were dealing with. When all was said and done, and we were free to finally purchase our car, we drove out with a deal we never thought possible. In over forty years of driving experience we have never encountered a dealership that works as hard as they do to get you into a vehicle that is just right and at a price that fits into your budget. We are looking forward to a long and happy business relationship with them. We would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new car. More

Ran a carfax report and the damage was reported to carfax. to this day 2 months later they refuse to give me the signed contract and all the papers I signed at the point of sale. been having mechanical issues with the truck and Don Mealey refuses to fix the truck. So I bought a brand new truck with a carfax and have taken a huge hit on the value of the truck yet they don't care. thanks Don Mealey for doing NOTHING. More
Watch out for used vehicles I traveled here from Jacksonville to buy a late model Cadillac with only 7800 miles on it for $29K. For that kind of money you would think it would be clean and ready for a test drive, it was not. The General Manager (Ted Pappas) is apparently allowed to drive whatever car he wants too and out of all the new chevy's on the lot he picked this Cadillac. I called from Orlando and they said he was out driving it but they would have it there by the time we arrived, this thing was so dirty it was sad. The inside looked like he had his kids soccer team in the back seat and the putrid smell of cigar smoke was more than we could take. It also now had over 13,000 miles on it. He must have been driving the snot out of it because the tires will need replacing rather soon. Pretty sad that they don't tell you these things on the phone or in their advertisements. I was also told these precious gems "Are you sure it's the same vehicle?" "Just leave the window cracked and that smell of stank will be gone in no time" "Maybe it was a typo" "Forget the smell and the miles, look at that shiny paint" "This is our best selling model" - my favorite since they are a Chevrolet dealership. I wouldn't drive back out there if they were giving away cars. More

I reluctantly needed to purchase a truck and was hesitant to trade in a car I loved. After a long painful day of truck shopping I decided to make one last stop at Don Mealey Chevrolet where I was greeted by James Lee. James approached me, listened to my needs and wants, made me feel comfortable without being pushy and showed me several truck options. James was very informative, answered all my questions, was patient and worked very hard to get me the payments I wanted. This was a refreshing experiencing as nowadays, it commonly seen that car salesmen just don’t care enough and their only objective is to get money out of your wallet. But, a salesman like James delivered an incredible service and provided a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be coming back to Don Mealey for my next purchase. Thank you! More

I was handed of from person I was deealing with-who was not with a customer- to James who knew nothing about me. 2)During test drive I was told about maintenace package and other items that would be included if I got equinox and right now I have no way of redeeming since he did not gie me any paperwork explaining how to redeem. 3) I had to negotiate for over 90 minutes for price that was reasonable. The reason this is so galling is that I had told him that this was very reason that I was not going back to the GM dealership that I had previously bought from. I came in with information I needed and he still started $100 more per month than reasonable. He also tacked on an additional $2.50 per month to agreed upon amount. This is absurd since the last negotiation was literally over $5 per month which I finally relented on. 4) The financing took another hour plus and caused me to be late to where I was going after. I did consider walking in middle of this time but thought that since I had made my schedule known prior to arrival they would not make me later than needed. 5) After leaving and realizing some of issues I have emailed James, and two other employees only to get no feedback except " I will look into it". 6) recieved postcard in mail stating I owe them more money since they made a mistake on paperwork. I read these reviews and maybe my mistake was not to ask for one of the other salesman. Overall though this experience has soured me not just on Don Mealey but all of GM because I have bought 5 cars in my life and the only two bad ones are at GM dealerships. More

The staff and technicians will take the time to listen to my observed symptoms with sincerity. In my opinion, they are second to none in the Orlando area based on my experiences with other dealership service centers and other brand name shops in the area. Their prices are also very competitive even with non-dealership shops. They quoted me over $1,000 less on a break job than a non-dealership shop who claims to be cheaper than anyone else. On any given day while at the shop, I see numerous Corvette's, Camaro's, trucks, and a variety of other vehicles of different makes and models being serviced. More

He listens to what I have to say about the vehicle and will thoroughly explain what repairs need to be done. Ricky will also work diligently to get me the best price on parts needed and gets the repairs done in a reasonable amount of time. I always make sure to ask for Ricky when I take the vehicle in as I know I will get the best service possible. More
