I had heard about Don McGill Toyota (Katy, TX), and the quality of their staff and extensive selection of used cars. The reputation proceeded itself! I was in the market for a used SUV for my wife, and after 2 visits found exactly what we wanted. I have purchased 6-7 cars in the past and have seen the best and the worst of it all. Rob Snowbarger (Sales Rep at Don McGill Katy) was by far the most professional, helpful, car salesman I have ever dealt with. He started by helping my wife and I determine what our needs/wants were then fitting that to what would be most reasonable, and fuel efficient SUV for us. He set up test drives for 6 different vehicles showing us each and every feature and creature comfort available. From New SUVs to old, Rob knew his stuff. We ended up buying a 2010 Lexus GX350, with the Toyota Premium Care package. We couldn’t be happier. Rob has called us on multiple occasions to insure our satisfaction and even brought our license plates to us at the house when they came in. (We live in Cypress, TX). If I ever need a car again, you better believe I am going to Rob Snowbarger and Don McGill of Katy. More

He offered alternatives and was willing to assist me through the pain points of ordering the vehicle. Robb worked with me on his days off; when the truck finally came in he worked long hard hours to have all the "extras" installed in timely manner to get the truck delivered to me. Class act salesman, Don McGill of Katy has an invaluable asset having Robb on their team! My experience in the business office was painless and informative, thank you for that; typically I find the business office the worst part of finalizing a deal. Brandon Sine, new car sales manager, was also very friendly and accommodating throughout the process. I went in on an internet quote, pricing was in line for the purchase of the new vehicle. We searched cars and found one, agreed upon purchase price and this process was pleasant. Then, the first trade-in appraisal came 7000 under blue book, first "manager" visit got it up 2K, second got it up another 4K (perspective, 27K trade, then 29K trade, then 33K trade). 20 minutes, 6K movement on a 30K purchase, at that point, trust is out the window ... (yes, they will know who I am posting based off that unless they do the same thing multiple times a day!) Opportunity was given to concede $500 on the overall purchase price, manager came over, and could not make the deal, so I left, wasting hours of my time. Call received two hours later, asking for my business and to honor the pricing I requested, I declined, they will never get any of my business or the business of anyone that I know, speak to, or make a general comment on businesses with ethics in the city. STAY AWAY, it may sound good on the new vehicle, but they'll make up thousands on paper. I went to another dealer, their first trade was at 33, same pricing on vehicle, negotiated fairly from there and I closed within an hour. BE CAUTIOUS, purchase price is only one aspect, and these guys plan to and will rob you if you're not mindful of ALL their tactics More

Even though the car I had picked out got sold before I could finalize the deal, the Certified Used Car Manager helped to get me a better one with less miles at the same price. The Certified Used Car Salesman, Jacob V., was very helpful in getting the second car set aside so it was not even listed into the dealer inventory and he located an extra key fob and key. Those are particularly expensive for this model, so that saved me money, too. I also did not want the "blue steel" packages, so he got the price lowered for that amount and included them (essentially for free). Jacob listens to what you want, is truthful about what he does not know, and finds out quickly for you. He is interested in what you want, not just moving the iron off the lot. Buyer Beware!!! I bought a 2010 camry with 19,000 miles on it 8 months ago, and I have had to take it in 3 times. The first time was an oil change, second a tire rotation and of course wanting to take care on it 8 months ago, and I have had to take it in 3 times. The first time was an oil change, second a tire rotation and of course wanting to take care of my vehicle I didnt mind but the last time I took it in last week for a $40 oil change, I ending up paying $380!!!!!!!! I bought a camry because I heard they last forever, well I'm sure they do if you have to continuously put money into them. I am a single mother who simply just cannot afford to shell out a few hundred dollars especially when it was more than 7x what I thought it would be, really the car is as 2010 how much could it possibly need. I was told at the dealership that I needed to pay for this maintenance package to upkeep my car and being a woman, I am afraid of my car breaking down, after all it is extremely dangerous on the Houston freeways. Anyways here it is a week later, the car is worse than when I brought it in. Once the car reaches 60 mph the whole front end starts shaking, it pulls to the right, there is a clip missing from the back seat so I can't put my son back there, the cd has never worked and you would think after paying so much money they could have atleast ran my car through a $5 car wash. I have had to borrow my moms car to drive to work because the front end shaking is scary so now what am I to do-deal with it evidently. More

This was the first car I had bought for myself, and rather than Donald saying no you can't afford that car here let me show you something older and less desirable they worked with me to get the Fiesta. Then on top of that the dealership was able to offer me better financing than the third party loan I had come into the dealership approved for with many more benefits than the nothing extra my pre-approved loan came with for about the same monthly payment. I had been to other dealerships in the area before, and I am very sore that I did not go to Don Mcgill Toyota of Katy sooner. I was in an out fairly quick, everyone we spoke with was fantastic at what they did, and they made me so happy I literally cried in the dealership. More
