Horrible; Fraudulent Experience; Manipulative On September 6, 2018 I walked in to Don McGill Toyota planning to buyout my lease because I went over the schedule my miles by about 32k. Upon on my a On September 6, 2018 I walked in to Don McGill Toyota planning to buyout my lease because I went over the schedule my miles by about 32k. Upon on my arrival I met and spoke with Kenny Brown and Chris Hodge, and I explained to them both that the car I had 77k miles and my lease term was for a total of 45k miles After doing the calculations Kenny determined that it would be a total of $4800 in over mileage fees, all calculation where done at Chris’s desk, at which time it was determined by Kenny and Chris that the best option was to just buy out the car. Both Chris and Kenny both assured me that it was NOT an issue what so ever for the dealership “Don McGill” to pay the over mileage fees, Chris even stated that, “He had never seen Don McGill not pay for a customer’s overage fees. At any rate, an agreement was made that would allow me to get a new Toyota Camry SE lease for 500 down and 290 a month for three years, in exchange they would pay any and all Mileage fees, also I would be expected pay the last payment on my lease. At this point, Chris Hodge starts the process and paper, he checks the mileage and gets the car appraised. As the deal was coming to a close, I agreed to allow them to check my credit, ONLY IF THEY WERE GOING TO GO THROUGH WITH THE DEAL, so the run my credit and caused a hard inquiry to hit my credit report and then bring me paperwork to sign, stating THAT THEY WILL PAY FOR MY MILEAGE FEES, after I signed the paperwork he went to the back to get my copy, instead of bringing me my copy he comes back and tells me that the finance manager refuses to pay all the miles (mind you that he was going back and forth to the finance manger the whole time) saying they will pay %40 percent while I pay for %60 of the mileage. The inquiry they caused on my credit caused my credit score to go from excellent to just good dropping it 24 points just for them to back out of the deal, and hurting other my other opportunities of getting a lower interest rate elsewhere. I felt hurt, manipulated and betrayed, me and my brother got our first cars with Toyota at the same time, came back and got two more cars with Don McGill Toyota, I have never missed or been late on a payment! I’ve even paid ahead! I don’t maybe when the white finance manger came out and saw we were black he decided to back out of the deal. More
