Don Johnson's Hayward Motors Chevrolet Buick

I had been looking for a used car at a competitive price. My previous failure to find a clean vehicle locally had been frustrating to say the least. As a last attempt I searched carsoup.com and autotrader. My previous failure to find a clean vehicle locally had been frustrating to say the least. As a last attempt I searched carsoup.com and autotrader.com and widened the search area to 100 miles. I was surprised to see the vehicles that were listed from the Don Johnson dealership. Their listings gave me the needed information to inquire as a serious buyer. By needed information I am referring to the Price, Mileage and a History report listing the information regarding accidents, previous use and number of previous owners. After finding a couple cars I called the dealership and was transferred to Kelly. We discussed the availability and scheduled a time for me to test drive the cars that I was interested in. After my previous attempts at finding a new car I was a bit hesitant to go through this process again. But I was determined to find a nice used car within the price range I had. I pulled up to the dealership and Kelly had the car parked right in front for me. She came out momentarily after I arrived. We looked at a few other cars in the lot then went inside for some questions. The basic car buying questions were answered by both parties. Next we went for a test drive. Kelly took the time to walk me through almost all of the features so I was fully prepared for my drive. Additionally she guided me where to drive, giving me the option to drive the car at different speeds. The car was nice, clean and the pricing was what I was looking for. We proceeded in the dealership and the manager had the pricing ready for the deal. Yep no waiting and no extra bologna. We came to an agreement on a final price within a few minutes, completed the paper work. Kelly also took the time to wash the car and walk me through a few additional services/features leaving me with the comfort of knowing that I can give her a call with any questions. She and her manager (whose name I so apologetically forget) made my purchasing experience a pleasant one. All of this was completed in about 2 hours – now that is what a purchase should be like. I have already been sharing this experience with my friends, family and coworkers in the Duluth/Superior area. Thank you! More

I rate this dealership and my experience there the highest I can. I had horrible credit, but Jeff and Eric said they could work with me. Being single, I wondered how I was going to get the Impala and my truck back home. Mike followed me, driving the Impala, and a colleague of his followed him. We drove the 30 miles back to my home. Now that is service! I paid nothing down and had everything included in the loan from extended warranties to 3 full months of Onstar. Outstanding Service! It's been a LONG time since a business has impressed me like this! While driving home from Bayfield in our Chev Diesel & truck camper(camping with my granddaughter and our golden business has impressed me like this! While driving home from Bayfield in our Chev Diesel & truck camper(camping with my granddaughter and our golden retriever)we stopped in Hayward to get gas. I was checking over the vehicle and noticed a leak, which turned out to be GAS... Luckily, I had noticed Don Johnson's dealership on my way into town and immediately drove back. I walked up to the service desk and said, "I need help." (I explained I was on my first camping trip with this truck/camper, and that it was me - the grandma, my granddaughter, and dog) Mike and Rick immediately went to work. They gave me detailed estimates, timelines, and went above and beyond my call of help. They even provided me with a car to drive home to La Crosse until my truck was finished! (BTW, our dealer in La Crosse didn't even do that) Every one I spoke to, from Mike and Rick, the truck mechanic showing me the problem, and every employee in between, was polite, friendly, professional, courteous, caring and bent over backwards to make sure myself, granddaughter, and Riley (our golden retriever who was enjoying the air conditioned waiting room)were taken care of. They have my HIGHEST regard and I will be spreading the word about this dealership to everyone I talk to! I only wish they were closer. However, I still may drive up there to purchase my next vehicle, BECAUSE of this outstanding service. They all deserve the HIGHEST RECOGNITION AND PRAISE! More

My newly purchased Suburban broke while on vacation in the Hayward area. It was on a holiday weekend no less. We had it towed to Don Johnson Chev and found our way home (140 miles away).
