I visited numerous dealerships in the Lexington area comparing Toyota, Nissan and Honda. I decided to purchase the Honda. I must say, a large factor in my decision had to do with my salesperson. Erik Traugott was very friendly, professional and knowledgable. He was never pushy with me---even after being told that I wasn't going buy anything on my initial visit. He did follow up with me by phone and answered additional questions that I had. In short...he was GREAT to work with. I rated this dealership highly because I was up front with the salesman when I told him I was not ready to buy a new car. He said okay and went out of his way answering my questions about an Acura and a with the salesman when I told him I was not ready to buy a new car. We test drove one of the cars even though I was not buying and spent a good deal of time on the road to get an idea of the performance ability, handling, turning radius, different modes of driving in traffic and on the open road. He was very knowledgable, answered all my questions even to the point of comparing the car with other brands. We talked a good deal of time about the new options and the possible changes in the future. I showed him my current Civic and asked his opinion about how long I could use it before having to trade. He was very honest, told me why he worked for Honda and what car he drove and why. If all the salesmen I have worked with were as honest as this one I would probably have been more satisfied with the other brands. Don Jacobs has changed.
