However, it seemed that once they got the deal (so to speak) they became extremely uninterested in helping and focused on making the next sale. We bought the car on a Saturday and we were crunched for time as it was (not dealer's fault by any means), but when we asked if we had enough time to sign the papers, take delivery, etc, they assured us we would. It took over 2 hours to get the paper work PRINTED OUT, let alone reviewed, signed and dealt with. The floor-mats to the car were missing, the navigation map, multi-media software was extremely out of date, even though the car was supposed to be a brand new 2016 (it had already been driven around 113 miles). I postponed the tutorial of the navigation system until the following Monday because we were already 20 minutes late to the wedding (thanks to the horridly slow paperwork process, now that was the dealer's fault). Glenn was not happy about me not wanting to do the tutorial. But he assured me it would be just fine and that they would wash my car again for me, install the floormats, get my BlueLink setup, get CarPlay working, and walk me through the service information. I loved the vehicle and am still extremely happy with it, but I have had to figure out many bits and pieces on my own. I'm young and very tech savy, so this wasn't an issue for me, but I couldn't imagine having an older person deal with something similar. Tuning the radio is a chore for someone who wasn't tech savy. Monday finally came and I returned to the dealership. I was handed a large bag containing the floormats with the salesman saying "here!" and I was expected to install them myself. Definitely not a huge deal- but they were supposed to be in the car already. I kept saying that the mileage on the paperwork was incorrect and it should read 113 miles before delivery instead of 3 miles. That was shrugged off as a non-issue, so I hope that's been corrected- we shall see. On to the tutorial- it was like pulling teeth to get someone to show me how to use it. Of course in the 2 days that I had already driven the car I had figured out a few things via trial and error- and this proved to be a little more effective than the tutorial itself. They couldn't figure out why Apple CarPlay wouldn't work and they really weren't interested in looking into it further. I had read online that it was updateable so I wasn't too concerned, yet still pretty aggravated that I was getting a brand new car that was already out of date. They didn't want to wash my car again either since they were "just slammed" even though one of the dealer offerings is free car-washes for the entire time you own the car. That was like pulling teeth to get that done, (seeming to be an increasingly common trend here) but nonetheless 45 minutes later, my car was washed... kind of. They didn't do the best of job on it but still it wasn't worth arguing or asking about. Overall my experience was very good minus the severe gaps in customer service that I experienced in a few places. I love my Hyundai Sonata Limited, and that is most definitely saying something considering that I came from a Mercedes Benz. Glenn Hyundai was excellent to work with and is definitely worlds ahead of other dealerships around Lexington. These minor issues should be relatively easy fixes (in theory) that were most likely aggravated by being busy and by me not doing the tutorial the day of purchase. I'm looking forward to driving my car for the next 3 years - time will tell if I get another Hyundai! More

When I called the Hyundai dealership to discuss my situation they were concerned and took steps to ensure that I was okay. In a few days via phone we had agreed on a fair price for a new vehicle, arranged for delivery and they even paid a driver to bring me back to Lexington, KY. This in my experience is above and beyond. My previous Hyundai was a disappointment. After only 112,000 miles and meticulous care it needed an engine. If this vehicle doesn't show marked improvement on longevity - I will not be purchasing another Hyundai. More
