Finance process was very time consuming as we had to wait quite some time before being seen. Once in the office, the paperwork was completed quickly and pleasantly by the finance office. shady financing 2016 Hyundai pricing, financing Aug 10, 2016, 4:47 PM From Me Details Hi, Scott, Thank you for emailing a response. My main reason for provid 2016 Hyundai pricing, financing Aug 10, 2016, 4:47 PM From Me Details Hi, Scott, Thank you for emailing a response. My main reason for providing feedback on the dealership is due to what I feel to be sale tactics designed to confuse the customer, not to provide what is in the customer's best interest. Below was my experience: I did my homework researching cars in my daughter's price range. It was my intention to purchase the 2016 Hyundai Accent sedan at the advertised price of $11,995, pay an additional $2000 tax, title, etc, (a total of $14,000), and take the 0% financing that was available. The fact that the car had hail damage was not advertised; Out of 3 hours total spent at the dealership, approximately 15 minutes was spent negotiating price and financing options; I felt rushed during the price negotiation; Was being talked to while I was trying to decipher and digest the numbers; You stood while talking to me instead of sitting; The numbers on the proposal changing (in yellow below) for seemingly NO EXPLANABLE REASON made me feel I was being suckered and taken advantage of; I am good with numbers, but this method put before me left my head reeling. OFFER #1: I asked the salesman where the advertised $11,995 price was and the advertised 0% financing. I also stated I did not want the $2,995 Gap ins. He told me I didn't qualify for $500 of the rebate, which I understood. I stated I was prepared to pay up to $14,000 on the road ($16,916 - $2995 = $13,921), but the financing needed to be the advertised 0% or through my bank, Commonwealth Credit Union. I asked to speak to you. I stated I wanted the 0% financing or finance through CCU, and showed you a screen shot of CCU's 64 month current rate of 3.34% which I calculated as a payment of $208 per month (your payment below showed $362). You told me you could not finance through CCU because you made more financing through their (Hyundai) credit company. You told me I could start out financing with Hyundai then in 3 months finance with CCU and pay off Hyundai. I told you if I did that I had no way of knowing if I would still qualify for CCU's "new auto" rate of 3.34%. I asked you if I could bring you a check from CCU. You stated, "No that would be worse." I didn't ask what "worse" meant but assumed it meant less money for you or the dealership. I asked you to write it up with 0% financing and no Gap. Offer #2 came back, see below: OFFER #2: Suddenly you took away $1,005 of the $2365 above, but lowered the Gap insurance, which I already stated I did not want. I asked you where the $1000 went. You stated it had something to do with putting it in as a $1000 down payment in the second column of the payment information. This made absolutely NO SENSE to me as I viewed your changing the numbers below as a shuffle-the-shell kind of game, again making me distrust you even more. I asked the salesman to take off the $995 and we would have our number $13,921. FINAL AGREEMENT: It was not until several days later when reviewing the three offers that I realized you were trying to get my payment to $208; however, the way you went about shuffling the numbers around and not explaining it to me, you seemed deceitful. It wasn't until then that I also saw that if you left off the $995 Gap insurance and showed me the monthly payments using the financed amount of $13.921 on the road, this second proposal would have been my best choice at 0% financing for 72 months at 0% = $193.36. Again, a feeling of being rushed through the process and not taking the time to decipher the numbers correctly, I mistakenly compared the payments in the 2nd and 3rd proposals and opted to finance through CCU. My final payment amount is $217. If you would have taken the time to talk out the numbers I came in with instead of rushing me through your process using your numbers, I could have given you a better rating. If you would have gone over the numbers with me showing me the BEST OPTION FOR ME, not the dealership, I would have walked away with a positive experience. In the end my best option would have been the 0% financing, but due to you switching the $1000 from the savings column to the down-payment, your method, again, seemed shady. My perception of your number switching techniques combined with your initial unwillingness to finance through CCU, telling me the financing needed to be the one that made the most money for the dealership, lead me to give you the review that I did. Again, in hindsight, my best option would have been to take the 0% financing that was my intention when coming in to buy the car at $14000. Hopefully this will be helpful for you when dealing with customers in the future. In my case, I still do not feel I got the best deal I could have.
