I am customer 640404 on Invoice 382039. I visited Don Ayres on October 1, 2012 at 1 PM for a recall software upgrade. I was told the fix would take maybe 2 hours. While waiting in the waiting room I witnessed some of the best customer service from Mr. Wells who repeatedly visited with his client throughout the afternoon keeping him well informed. I applaud this type of customer service. I think my service was handed off from Chuck to Troy without letting Troy know I was in the waiting room. I believe I was forgotten until one of the nice cashiers finally asked my name at 5:45 PM. My battery was tested at 1:31 PM. This was my first experience visiting Don Ayres Honda for a Honda Service call, I am not sure I will be back. More
I had my Odyssey in for an oil change on Friday, August 31st. The morning after my oil change I noticed a rather large oil spot on my drive way. I called in to see whether they could get it in the same day 31st. The morning after my oil change I noticed a rather large oil spot on my drive way. I called in to see whether they could get it in the same day, which they couldn't, so I had to make an appointment for the next business day. What I thought was going to be a minor oil change turned into 5 days that I could not use my car. I live 30 miles from Don Ayres, so I had to waste my time and gas taking my car back to Ft. Wayne. Come to find out the person changing my oil did not drain the oil properly and there was oil stuck in a reservoir, so that is why it was dripping. The service department did not offer to pay for my oil change or compensate me in any way for the major inconvenience this caused. More
Chuck in the Service Center, showed excellent customer service while I was in on 9/4/12. I would say I've always had a really good experience at Don Ayres Honda, but Chuck has got to be the best Service service while I was in on 9/4/12. The last three visits to the service department have left me disappointed. Today I came in to because of a safety recall on my can. I made an appointment for 1pm. I arrived at 12:45pm. I heard nothing during the course of my visit until I made an inquiry 2 hours later. I was told the van would be ready in 10 minutes. Forty minutes later I had to ask again. Prior work on the van was also less than satisfactory. The instrument panel had to be replaced. I left the van, things were replaced. I left the dealership to find that several lights and points on the panel were not working. I returned to have things made right. However, several bulbs had to be replaced and were not in stock. My SRS light was lite when it had not been before. I know things happen and I am usually graceful about a mishap. However, three visits in a row makes me not want to return.
