I bought a 2009 Traverse and had to fill the tank to get home, not enough gas in the tank to get across town. The rear windshield wiper needed replaced and when I mentioned it, the salesman who had been gr home, not enough gas in the tank to get across town. The rear windshield wiper needed replaced and when I mentioned it, the salesman who had been great up to that point told me it would be easy for me to replace. It was not. I had to take it to a service center to have a mechanic replace it. A few months ago, I found out I had to replace the tires. Turns out they have enough tread but are cracking between the tread. It will cost me over 800.00 to replace them. I haven't owned the vehicle for a year yet! How was this missed in the inspection the dealership says they do? Very disappointed! More
We bought a used conversion can from Don Ayres a few years back. At the time, it had an ABS sensor light on. When we took it to Dimension Ford, they told us that there were two sensors that could be inv years back. At the time, it had an ABS sensor light on. When we took it to Dimension Ford, they told us that there were two sensors that could be involved but we wouldn't know which one needed to be replaced until we tried it. The estimate was $400 and if it turned out that the wrong one was replaced, we could expect another $400 to be added to the bill. We got a second opinion at Hires and were told the same thing, so we elected to drive without ABS. This last week we were at Don Ayres for a $12.95 oil change and asked them to check out an engine hesitation. This was repaired and they told us that the mechanic, Dan Thompson had noticed the ABS light. We explained what we had been previously told and they asked if we minded if Dan confirmed that. Tom called us back and told us that Dan's estimate was $50! Turns out Dan had paid to update his engine scan tool and was able to diagnose it as a lesser known sensor. Needless to say, we had it fixed and will heartily recommend Dan and Don Ayres to everyone!!! More
Overall it was a good buying experience. The salesman was not pushy and was very accomodating when we changed our mind at the last minute on some upgrades. not pushy and was very accomodating when we changed our mind at the last minute on some upgrades. More

I was very pleased with service provided by Don Ayers last week. After research, I had decided on a Civic prior to going to the dealership. They treated me with respect and did not try to sell me anything I did not need. They negotiated a fair price in my opinion and I would go back there to purchase my next vehicle, but, that shouldn't be necessary anytime soon since I bought a Honda :-) Thanks! More

After doing our own research we were already sold on the vehicle, we just needed to take it for a test drive and have our mechanic check it over. Upon arrival at the dealership, we meet Joe Parra who was a nice guy. Not knowing we fully intended to purchase the vehicle once everything checked out ok, Joe went into the stereotypical used car salesman mode. By that I mean he was pushy and tried to rush us into a decision, even trying to get us to sign papers and put a down payment on the vehicle our first day on the lot. That coupled with company policies, that wouldn't allow the vehicle to leave the lot without a salesperson made it diffcult for us to make a true assessment of the vehicle. After reluctantly deciding to purchase the vehicle, we entered the financial office a few days later. When I asked the loan officer for a minute to think, he rudely replied, "You don't think in this office, when you come in here you are ready to sign, you should do your thinking out there on the floor." The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. As someone who interacts with the public on a daily basis my wife was appalled that they would speak to a potential paying customer in such a manner. I would recommend anyone looking to purchase a vehicle, NOT to use the Lima Road branch of Don Ayres. Review by Michael Corley More
Mark Harrison greeted us as soon as we arrived and had the vehicle we were interested in parked nearby. He was friendly, informative, and not pushy. As far as frienliness goes, I rated it a 4 because the folks we dealt with did stay past closing time to close the deal. However, it was the deal that tarnishes the entire experience and why I could NOT folks we dealt with did stay past closing time to close the deal. However, it was the deal that tarnishes the entire experience and why I could NOT recommend this dealership. We recently purchased a 2003 Honda Element for our kids who just got their licenses. When we drove the car that night, I was concerned about a rattle (banging/knocking) noise coming from underneath the car in the rear. On the drive home (an approximate 2.5 hour drive) I became more concerned about the car because the steering wheel shimied when going a around a curve to the right (bank turn) at highway speeds (over 45 mph) that seemed to be coming from the left front wheel. After talking with my wife at the dealership after driving the car, she expressed her concern to the sales people and highlighted the fact that we need to drive this thing over 2 hours home and asked - "is this car safe?" The sales person and manager both expressed that absolutely the car was safe, it would not be on our lot if it was not. Because my concerns increased after driving it home, we took it to another Honda dealership to get it looked at. Based on the professional judgement of the Honda dealership we took it to and the issues they found during the inspection, this car was NOT safe! Specifically, the left front strut was broken (shimie in wheel) so both front struts were replaced and the sway bar/stabilizer bar in the back was broken (reason for noise I heard) and had to be replaced. It is fortunate that there wasn't an accident with someone getting hurt because of these problems. I take it very seriously when the safety of my children are jeopardized and potentially the safety of other unsuspecting consumers, which is why I chose to submit this review. It cost us over $1000 for required repairs to this supposedly safe car in order to make it safe for our kids to drive. Consequently, I rated the price as "very bad" because of the money I immediately had to put into the car to make it safe. In my opinion, these problems should have been identified by the Don Ayers dealership and fixed before the car was offered for sale. When discussing these problems with the technicicans at the Honda dealership we took it to, it was apparent to me that finding these problems was not rocket science. Lastly, the overall experience gets a "very bad" rating as well because I could NEVER recommend a dealership that fails to identify problems on a vehicle, which could result in selling an unsafe car to the unsuspecting consumer. Also, we have contacted folks at Don Ayers and they apparently are unwilling to accept any responsibility for this as I have yet to hear anything back from them. A very dissatisfied customer from Michigan. More
I had an appointment at 11:30 on 13Jan12. I was out of there by 12:10. The waiting area is comfortable and the free coffee was nice as it was a miserably cold and windy day.
