My visit was to the service department when I had to have my Lexus towed in because it wouldn't start and could not be jump started. I was at a hotel in Minden, 200 miles away from home. I had to stay and additional day due to the car trouble. Fortunately, it was only a defective battery which I had bought new from Lexus in March 2018. I had called my home dealership in Pleasanton and they told me the battery was covered by Lexus warranty and there should be no charge to replace it. In spite of this, I was told by Dolan service that the warranty on my defective battery was the warranty on a 2014 battery I bought from Lexus. In spite of this not making any sense, I was charged the full price of a new battery and the labor to replace it. On Saturday, I went to Lexus of Pleasanton and Service Jonathon Eme, my service advisor called Dolan service and confirmed that the battery was covered and there should be no charge to replace it. Jonathon was promised a call back. Thus far, no response. More
