Can't Be Trusted I've had several bad experiences with the service department at Reno Dodge but this latest was my last. I'll take my Promaster to Carson City before I'll let Don Wier's touch it again. About a year ago I took my 1yr old Promaster van in after my DEF light indicated I need service. I was told that I'd hit a chunk of ice and damaged the DEF pump, and it needed to be ordered. I own Top Notch Handyman Service LLC and my business is completely reliant on the use of my van. After several days of missed work the pump came in and was installed. I was then informed that the whole tank needed to be replaced also and there was no tank within the United States. More missed work. They finally found one and when it came in I was told that an empty box had been shipped. This ineptness was unbelievable! Finally, after 5 weeks of missed work (and over $18,000 in lost income), I got my van back. I complained to the Chrysler Customer Service and they investigated the situation. I was given 3 yrs of free oil changes and tire rotations as a consolation for my inconvenience. Fast forward to this January. I took my van in for an oil change. Late afternoon I get a call informing me that whoever changed the oil last had crossthreaded the drain plug and another would have to be ordered. I told Ben Owings that Reno Dodge changed the oil last and was told that couldn't be because the old filter was an off brand and they used Mopar. Another day of work lost. I rescheduled the oil change for another date and called Chrysler Customer Service again. Reno Dodge had been the last one's to change the oil (which I knew). I took a picture of the old filter(Tecnocar brand) for reference. After taking another day off for the oil change I went in to pick it up and get things settled. Again, Ben insisted that they weren't the last ones to change the oil and was going to charge me for the day's work. This included $65 for a drain plug. I refused to pay and told him the date that they'd performed the work so it WAS their mechanic that crossthreaded the drain plug. He said he'd talk to his manager to see what they could do. After a few minutes he told me they like to take care of their good customers (yeah, right!) and wouldn't charge me anything. When I got home I looked at the oil filter and couldn't believe my eyes. It was a Tecnocar filter, the exact same one he'd claimed wasn't used by Reno Dodge! After lying to me and being deceitful, I can't trust Reno Dodge anymore. If I need warranty work done now I have to take it to Carson City or California. This is a major inconvenience!! Believe me, I'll be telling anyone I can about my ordeal with this 2nd rate service dept. 2/11/2018 Alan J. Lynch More

She wanted a manual car because we lived in the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. We wanted to have an American brand car that we could afford on a minimum budget. After the draining of the sales process in the dealership, we left with the car. 5 miles down the road the car engine blew up. We called them and they said have it dropped off. We told them we needed a car to drive. They didn’t give us one. The very next day we told them we did not want the car. They threatened us and told us they would drop the broken car off in our driveway. They forced us to take another car and made us sign a new contract without seeing the car. After seeing the false income on the new application we, figuring it would make it null and void, called Chrysler to get the loan reversed. They said they couldn’t. The dealership said it was already funded. We left. They called us when the new car came. We didn’t go pick it up. They delivered the car and dropped it off. We were in distress. We signed a paper and then the heartaches began. To add insult to injury, they crushed us with a 13% interest rate when we had 680 fica scores. The payment book came in with $490 payments. We tried to trade out of the car. The car was $10,000 negative the day it was delivered to us. Since then, the car’s clutch has went out three times. The pcv valve blew out and threw oil everywhere. The speakers have gone out and had to be replaced. We have been in a rental more than our car. We tried lemon law however because we moved from one side of the country to the other we had too many miles. We do not beat our car up. It is in almost perfect condition. We now cannot afford this vehicle 3 years later. This $490 payment has driven my wife to tears everytime Chrysler calls. Today they called and told us to try and trade it in. This again adds insult to injury. More
I would rather drive to Sacramento than deal with Don Weir When I bought a new Fiat 500L from their dealership across the street, I told myself I would make sure that it was taken care of by the book and by an When I bought a new Fiat 500L from their dealership across the street, I told myself I would make sure that it was taken care of by the book and by an authorized service center. However, it quickly became clear that was a mistake. Despite taking it in for every service, I found out after about 35k miles that they had not performed or even suggested a single scheduled maintenance. I brought this up and they told me that their information said nothing needed to be done at this point. When I took it somewhere else, I confirmed that a multitude of things should have been changed including the spark plugs. I visually confirmed that one of the spark plugs had begun to degrade and needed a change. I even brought it in for a check engine light (since I was always told that meant it was a serious issue), only to find out after they reset the code and charged me $150 that it was caused by my brake light being out. I had already changed the brake light, so the charge was simply for resetting the light. I will never set foot in this dealership or service center again. I can only hope they lose their exclusivity as the only Fiat service center, and I will not buy another Fiat or Dodge vehicle for as long as I live in Reno and they remain the only option. More

I got a very fair trade in value on my old car, and was able to negotiate the price I wanted for the truck, with excellent terms. Our salesmen were Devin and Bill, both were very awesome, and have maintained excellent follow up with us. Over all we have had a great experience. I would recommend this dealer highly. Thanks guys! Oh and my truck gets even better gas mileage than they said!! :0) More

Don't go there to sell your vehicle Reno Dodge contacted me to come in and have my car appraised based on a Kelly Blue Book search that I had done. It was a very uncomfortable visit. Dif Reno Dodge contacted me to come in and have my car appraised based on a Kelly Blue Book search that I had done. It was a very uncomfortable visit. Different pp every time I turned around - never the ones I talked to in advance. One guy literally walked by behind me and tossed my docs on the able. I really just wanted to leave but was there and wanted to hear the quote as I was gathering option info. They low balled KBB and I just asked for my keys. They offered 15K, KBB was 16,700. I sold it the next day to CarMax for 19K. Totally different experience with CARMAX - positive, professional, friendly and a quick process. Would recommend anyone skip Reno Dodge and go to CarMax. Oh, and then both Heather and Mark contacted me today from Reno Dodge to see when I could bring my car in... Wow. More
