Great Service I am a service member who recently relocated to the Hampton Roads area. During our trip to Virginia we had an incident with our RV that required a significant repair. We chose Dodd RV because it was on my way to work every day. I initially met with Mrs. Grace in the service department. Melissa took me through the entire process of getting our RV repaired. She is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She was able to give me options and guidance on getting a good repair done right the first time as well as keeping the cost at a manageable level. I will definitely recommend Dodd RV for anyone requiring service. This is a top notch facility. More

My most recent experience was no less exceptional and impressive. The service team of Joey Lawrence, Melissa Grace, Mike Queen and Ken always exceed my expectations. They are truly and sincerely concerned with my issues. I feel securely comfortable in knowing my needs will be taken care of by knowledgeable, caring people. This level of customer service is so rare, it has to be mentioned. I recommended Dodd RV to my parents when they were looking to buy. Even though they found the exact, perfect RV for them in South Carolina, they returned to Dodd for the purchase. That was solely based on my positive experiences with everyone at Dodd. My visits always turn into enjoyable experiences. Dodd isn't just using wordplay on their DealerRater system. They follow through. Last but not least, a comment for Ken. Don't know what magic you worked for my RV entry door but it went from a "I'm not opening/closing easily and you can't make me" to a door that takes no effort at all. Thanks so much, everyone. More
Getting our RV on the Road We bought a used Class C Motor Home and took it to Dodd RV in Yorktown to be checked over to make sure everything works the way it should. Melissa and We bought a used Class C Motor Home and took it to Dodd RV in Yorktown to be checked over to make sure everything works the way it should. Melissa and Joey were wonderful in answering all of our "stupid" questions. This is our first RV and we are first time campers, so all of this is new to us. The atmosphere at Dodd is what will keep us coming back. Every person we came in contact with was friendly and helpful and made us feel very comfortable. She set up an appointment to bring the RV in...over the next couple of weeks, the staff found issues and called to discuss. Each issue was real, service was performed..another problem avoided. I am so happy with the service I received from them...that is where I will buy my next RV. More
A++ Service As a first time RV’er, I’m discovering all the “little things” that can go wrong on your new RV and make you question your decision to join the RV com As a first time RV’er, I’m discovering all the “little things” that can go wrong on your new RV and make you question your decision to join the RV community. On the other hand, I’m also discovering that a first class service department that professionally and courteously addresses those “little problems” can reverse that doubt and make your RV experience all that you wanted it to be. That is definitely the case with Joey L. and Melissa G. at Dodd RV. Notwithstanding the need for RV service in in the first place (that’s another discussion for quality control at the manufacturer), every aspect of my service visits has been exemplary. Getting an appointment is easy and convenient. Then Joey and Melissa honestly listen to your requests, walk around your rig with you, and then let you know what they think will be done with an anticipated timeframe. If they don’t know, they say so…no BS’ing. After that, they keep you updated on the status of your service and then work with you for a convenient pickup date. When you pick up, they go over exactly what service was completed, the cost breakout, and what you can do, if anything, to prevent other similar issues. What is really impressive is their genuine effort to “make it right.” They work through warranty coverage and just good ol’ common sense (“that shouldn’t be doing that”) because they truly want the customer to be happy. Hopefully, I won’t visit them too often, but when the need arises, I won’t hesitate to visit Dodd RV Service…Joey and Melissa are top notch people and run a top notch service department. I’d recommend Dodd RV to anyone. More

We did not buy our RV from Dodd but we know from past experience that their service department is by far the best on the Peninsula. Melissa and Joey are always professional and friendly. We never feel rushed and they always take the extra time to answer any questions. When it's time to pick it up, they always review the repairs with us so we know exactly what has been done to our RV. Dodd will always have our business for RV service and our next new RV purchase will be at Dodd. More

Once your drive off. durring the delivery of a new unit earlier this year we identified several issues with the unit during the walkthru. They made notes and said everythi durring the delivery of a new unit earlier this year we identified several issues with the unit during the walkthru. They made notes and said everything would be taken care of. Then they could not find the keys. Changes two door locks (different keys for each lock). Tires were under inflated so they added air to the nitrogren filled tires which was one of the selling points. Weeks and months later the new parts still had not been ordered (sorry we had a change of warranty managers). Now I am explaining all the issues all over again to someone new. I gave up fixed the issues myself. Fast forward six months I call to get appointment to have the A/C checked. Well we van make you an appointment but you will have to drop the unit and leave it because we may not be able to check it the same day as the appointment. Why have an appointment? Service department personnel at both locations have been nothing but rude and there is no commitment to satisfy the customer after your drive away with a new unit. After talking with Brian Dood I was told that he would make sure I could get the A/C checked on the day it was scheduled but that was not standard operating protocol. doing me a favor? Warranty Forever Ha Ha! What good is the warranty if the dealership cannot perform the service. I would purchase elsewhere!!! More

I received prompt, on-time service and the repair was taken care of while I waited in their customer lounge. Mr Joey Lawrence took time to explain how the repair was completed and answered many questions I had about the use and maintenance of the Onan generator. This employee takes his time to assure that I understand the issues at hand. I highly recommend this dealership and will continue to have my RV serviced at Dodd RV. More
