Came in for parts - left we new Rockwood Roo 21SS Warm, friendly, informative, and no hard sales here. We have visited both Dodd locations over the years generally, to get parts for our 2003 Star Cra Warm, friendly, informative, and no hard sales here. We have visited both Dodd locations over the years generally, to get parts for our 2003 Star Craft 19.6. This time we walked the lot as we had done the week before at the Portsmouth location. Found the Rockwood Roo 21SS on the lot and took a little tour before we found Tina. From then on what a great experience. She answered every question with a smile, provided us with more information than we could think of at the time. We asked about trading our well loved RV and she walked us through every aspect of the pros and cons. As we spent time with her other members of this team came by to answer any question we might have dealing with our current RV or a newer RV. Parts Department In early November 2017, a storm blew through the Cumberland Va area and knocked out one of our travel trailer windows. I contacted Dodd RV in Yorktown In early November 2017, a storm blew through the Cumberland Va area and knocked out one of our travel trailer windows. I contacted Dodd RV in Yorktown where I purchased the camper and spoke with a young lady named Crystal Wigginton. Crystal asked me to send her all the dimensions and pictures of the camper and window via email and she would locate the part number, availability and price. By the next afternoon Crystal replied with all the info and options. Upon placing my order for the new window, Crystal provided me an update every couple of days until the window arrived. Can’t ask or expect anything more than how Dodd RV treats its customers. Excellent customer service, great attitude from all of the employees we’ve dealt with from the time we made our original purchase. We recommend Dodd RV to all our family, friends and anyone reading these reviews. More

Roof replacement on a 2013 Rockwood Wind Jammer We returned from our Spring trip to Florida, this April, with the membrane roof ripped from the center back about 10 feet on the left side of our Wind We returned from our Spring trip to Florida, this April, with the membrane roof ripped from the center back about 10 feet on the left side of our Windjammer travel trailer. We had our insurance look at the damage and they declined our claim. Melissa Grace, the service manager, worked with us and Rockwood manufacturers to find a solution. Because of how the damage occurred Rockwood agreed to provide materials and pay for labor. With Melissa’s efforts and the efforts of many others at Dodd RV, we picked up our unit, on time to go camping with the grandchildren. Our appreciation also goes out to the service personnel and Ricky Miner for the hands on roof replacement work. We thank Pete Foertsch too, for curing our truck wave when pulling our unit. Standing in the hot sun helping to adjust our hitch! The most important part of buying an RV from a dealer is the dealer being there when you have a problem. We can tell you that Dodd RV has always been there for us. More

I originally called the parts department to get a price on a part we were having problems Lisa Wallace in the warranty department is just fantastic! We discovered it was under a recall and they transferred me to Lisa who handled everything with such ease! Within a matter of minutes she had the part ordered, all recall paper work handled and even arranged it so we didn't need to bring the vehicle to the shop! Exceptional First off let me offer an apology to all of the wonderful people at there dealership that helped me for taking so long to write this review. In Novemb First off let me offer an apology to all of the wonderful people at there dealership that helped me for taking so long to write this review. In November of 2016 while traveling from Vermont to Florida down 95 just north of Richmond VA, an 18 wheel truck took off our Passenger side mirror and just barely missed the side of our Motor-home by inches. When we arrived at Yorktown Thursday evening it was to late to do anything about it. So first thing Friday Morning I drove down to the dealership and talked to Mike Queen as this was an item that they don't normally carry in stock he started calling around to find a replacement he called the Thor Company the manufacture of the motor-home only to find out that they were all on Thanksgiving break undaunted he keep calling until he was able to get someone and have the item shipped unfortunately even though overnight delivery was paid for it was not shipped until Monday and arrived late Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving to late to install. However Joey Lawrence and Melissa Grace made sure that first thing Friday Morning My mirror was installed even tho the were working with a Holiday shortened staff. The job was completed professionally and quickly a were big thank you to all involved. PS if you are involved in an accident on the interstate in Virginia do not expect the State Police to respond unless there in a fatality. More
