Our Humble Beginnings
In 1956 a gallon of gas was only 19.9¢ when George Dodd took over the Texaco station that would form the beginnings of the family business known as Dodd RV, a top selling Virginia RV Dealer.
George had a gift for working with people. Customers just naturally sensed that this was a man they could trust. He worked hard to build a reputation for honesty and fairness as he expanded into used car sales and eventually RVs.
Today, Dodd RV carries New RVs and Used RVs including Motor Homes, Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, Toy Haulers, Folding Pop-Up Campers and Expandables. We provide a full service operation for RV Sales, RV Financing, RV Parts & Accessories, and RV Service. Once your drive off. durring the delivery of a new unit earlier this year we identified several issues with the unit during the walkthru. They made notes and said everythi durring the delivery of a new unit earlier this year we identified several issues with the unit during the walkthru. They made notes and said everything would be taken care of. Then they could not find the keys. Changes two door locks (different keys for each lock). Tires were under inflated so they added air to the nitrogren filled tires which was one of the selling points. Weeks and months later the new parts still had not been ordered (sorry we had a change of warranty managers). Now I am explaining all the issues all over again to someone new. I gave up fixed the issues myself. Fast forward six months I call to get appointment to have the A/C checked. Well we van make you an appointment but you will have to drop the unit and leave it because we may not be able to check it the same day as the appointment. Why have an appointment? Service department personnel at both locations have been nothing but rude and there is no commitment to satisfy the customer after your drive away with a new unit. After talking with Brian Dood I was told that he would make sure I could get the A/C checked on the day it was scheduled but that was not standard operating protocol. doing me a favor? Warranty Forever Ha Ha! What good is the warranty if the dealership cannot perform the service. I would purchase elsewhere!!! More

Excellent buying experience I went to Dodd RV to purchase my first RV Travel Trailer. I did a lot of research on other RV dealers in the area prior to going to Dodd RV. The staf I went to Dodd RV to purchase my first RV Travel Trailer. I did a lot of research on other RV dealers in the area prior to going to Dodd RV. The staff from the minute I got there was very helpful and professional. The buying experience was very easy and nobody at Dodd was pushy during to sale. I would absolutely recommend Dodd RV for anyone looking to purchase an RV in the Eastern Virginia area. More

No Pressure, Enjoyed our Experience We went to Dodd RV sometime last year... We were just looking, but didn't find what we were looking for in our price range. Greg, didn't pressure us, We went to Dodd RV sometime last year... We were just looking, but didn't find what we were looking for in our price range. Greg, didn't pressure us, told us to keep an eye online. No pressure, and very comfortable atmosphere. We looked around at a couple different places over the next couple of months drove out to Richmond, where we felt incredibly pressured, they were determined to sell us something. But we didn't like what they had to offer and didn't like their pushiness. We went back to Dodd RV when we found exactly what we were looking for online. we called Greg, he didn't want to waste our time. Showed us what we wanted and what was in our price range. We made our purchase and were very pleased with everyone we met along the way. More
