BUYER BEWARE! !! I purchased a car for my daughter from Divan auto group on Monday (9/30). The following day (10/1) my daughter took it to our mechanic to be check !! I purchased a car for my daughter from Divan auto group on Monday (9/30). The following day (10/1) my daughter took it to our mechanic to be checked out and when they put the car on a lift they found that the entire underside of the car, including the wheel wells, were extremely rusted. According to the mechanic this is typically seen in cars that have been in a flood. Obviously this had not been disclosed to us prior to purchasing and it was not possible for us to see the underside of the vehicle. We were of course told that the car had some rust and could see typical rust on the body for a used car. I promptly contacted Divan Auto Group, spoke to Dmitry, and requested to return the vehicle for a refund. Dmitry stated that Divan was aware of the rust and insisted that this was a "normal amount of rust for a used vehicle." The vehicle is 13 years old with 55,000 miles. Dmitry further stated that I could simply pay to replace all those rusted parts. I explained that no one purchases a vehicle and expects to immediately begin thinking about paying for repairs. Furthermore, our mechanic informed us that the cost to repair all those parts is more than the value of the vehicle. The salesman, Serg, also contacted my daughter by text and further attempted to convince her that this amount of rust was "normal" and that our mechanic was just exaggerating. This is a trusted mechanic that we have used for years and it serves them no good to lie or exaggerate. They would have benefited more financially from not saying anything and just getting paid for the repairs that are sure to come. Please be aware this business does not operate ethically and may be knowingly selling cars that have been damaged in floods. More

UPDATE. 100224. Dimitri advised me car not sold but returned to auction as they couldnt get the titling issue fixed. Their website misreported it as SOLD 100224. Almost bought their 2016 z06 Corvette but at the last minute discovered thru Carfax it was a branded title and so no loan available. Bought a Corvette sight unseen but questioned the salesman (Andrey) almost daily on any major issues or problems with the car. Was told there were none, few scratches on front of car. Was sent a beautiful 360° video, top wasn’t on the car. Reviewed Carfax, no major issues, no tire report. Went back and forth as I was waiting for loan, dealer kept pressing they wanted to send me the car before payment, but also before I saw the title which was delayed which, or course, the bank wouldn’t go for. Finally received the car in the dark at night. Battery was dead, tires were so old they were illegal, top was completely scratched (not a mention or explanation from them about that), check engine light on, missing parts in interior, and weatherstripping crumbling. Car would not pass inspection. Was totally taken on this car. Yes, I know those are the chances you take, but was totally lied to about the tires, top, scratches and condition of the car. I think tires and a Targa top are pretty major things. Oh yeah, after I questioned no tire report on the Carfax, they sent some bogus tire report that said they were 4s and 5s. My tire guy laughed (well respected family-owned business over 40 years, all they do is tires). So beware, and being a woman, I was especially taken advantage of. Over 4K to get the car in good shape so far, without the roof. Shame on you. Their price was way off for what I received. Awful. BUYER BEWARE!!! More
