I only wish I had read these reviews before I had Dimmitt do my service. I had one bad experience in March 2022. I took my car in for repair due to a recall. They had no rental cars available but told me do my service. I had one bad experience in March 2022. I took my car in for repair due to a recall. They had no rental cars available but told me it would only be a day. Well that one day turned into 4 as my service tech left on vacation and no one followed up on his customers OR returned my phone calls. Rick was my representative. Fast forward to now. I requested an early morning appt for a technician to look at my tires. At my oil change, I was advised I needed tires on my 2020 Equinox with 23K miles. This didn't seem right to me with this low mileage. The service department called me with an 8:30AM time on 11-10. Perfect, right? Well no, the day before, Rick (same Rick as before) called to verify I was dropping my car off. I explained to him that I was not asked to drop it off when the appointment was made and I could not do that. I went on to remind him of my last experience with leaving my car. His response..well that wasn't my fault. No sir, maybe not but it certainly wasn't mine. Anyway, I told him to cancel my appt and I would go elsewhere. I called Autonation, got right in on Friday morning, Here is where the story really gets interesting and way too long for this post. Suffice it to say between finding out I had been overcharged twice, work I had requested and shown on my paperwork not being done, work not coded correctly to Chevrolet to show I had the work done under a "recall" and Rick's attitude I won't be back. Oh and did I mention, I got a call asking why I missed my appointment on 11-10, When I explained to her I did not miss my appointment, I cancelled it with Rick AND told her my other issues, she had a customer care representative call me. She was extremely nice and after speaking with her, she assured me the service manager would be in touch. That was three days ago and you guessed it....no phone call. So friendly advice....don't go to Dimmitt for service. I bought my car there and loved the salesman but every other experience there has been a bad one. More
Was in Clearwater to buy a car after Hurricane Ian flooded both my cars in Fort Myers. We had one day to buy a car & no time to waste on sales BS. The salesman Andrew would not stop his incessant sale flooded both my cars in Fort Myers. We had one day to buy a car & no time to waste on sales BS. The salesman Andrew would not stop his incessant sales pitch while we were trying to look at their used car inventory until I told him to back off. Told them on the front end at our budget was $22,000 and not to waste my time on anything that was not negotiable to that range. Salesman Andrew then connived us into taking two test drives, then when I asked for their best & final he kept hem-hawing around that while our budget was 22,000 the cars that caught our eye was a little more than that. After a couple of minutes of this cat & mouse, I had to jerk the papers out of hands to finally found out they were giving me a price of 38,000. Good thing they escorted me out of the building or I probably would have spent the night in jail. Thanks so much Andrew & the management of Dimmitt Chevrolet for your compassionate help to the victims of Hurricane Ian. More

STAY AWAY! ! STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!! These guys are absolutely the WORST Chevrolet dealership in the tri county area. I purchased my 2022 Chevrolet Corvette from ! STAY AWAY!! STAY AWAY!! These guys are absolutely the WORST Chevrolet dealership in the tri county area. I purchased my 2022 Chevrolet Corvette from these guys and I would NEVER, EVER, EVER, buy from them again. I dealt with this lazy salesman by the name of Eric who tried to sell me a 2023 Vette for $30K OVER MSRP!! Please don’t let the salesman here lead you to believe that they are non your side or actually care about you as a customer because they don’t. It’s all about how much money they can get out of you and if they can’t rip you off they won’t even bother dealing with you. But if they think that you are a push over and that they can rob you blind they will hound you relentlessly. You have to realize that these salesman are HIGHLY trained master manipulators and they are taught by upper management how to make you believe that you are getting a good deal. Trust me, when you deal with these guys you will NEVER receive a good deal. When a salesman leaves you at their desk while they go to that office you see from the sales floor that is usually surrounded in glass to talk to their managers about what your trying to accomplish by coming to the dealership. Trust me they are not in their discussing on how they can help you. They are all in their trying to figure out a way to abuse your good credit and maximize their profit to the dealership. These are NOT good people here. So save yourself THOUSANDS of dollars, save your time, and save yourself a headache and drive a few extra miles to another Chevrolet dealership in the area. You will be glad you did. More
I was in contact with a salesperson regarding a Blazer RS. First of all, the salesman was not my issue, he was respectful, nice, and patient. But, I saw the Blazer RS online I liked, I noticed their bs ad RS. First of all, the salesman was not my issue, he was respectful, nice, and patient. But, I saw the Blazer RS online I liked, I noticed their bs add-ons, such as pinstriping, nitrogen tires, blinking third brake light. FYI, those are all bs and overly priced profit to a dealer. I also noticed a market adjustment on the MSRP. Whatever, I wanted to see the car. I went there and the car I thought would be there and I told the salesman over email numerous times I wanted to look at, was not there. They had no RS trims in stock, even though I specifically said I wanted to see the RS. They showed me a premier, which is not what I wanted, with ugly (to me) interior. I did not like it. After test driving it, they kept trying to get me in that premier or another premier in-bound unit. I told them I wanted the RS if the numbers worked out. Manager comes over, first didn't introduce himself. He was rather rude and said "all new Blazer's are going to have a $5,000 markup, no matter what." What?!?!? I know the car market is still kind of rough but $5k on a blazer! Even if I special order it? I told them no and walked out. They didn't care that I walked out. The way the manager held himself makes me never want to return for any car, on top of that, $5k markup then another almost $2,500 in useless crap. Come on people, stop scamming consumers. More
Window sticker/MSRP was purposely concealed from us, we were grossly overcharged a purchase price more than $3500 without our knowledge or consent, very deceptive. We have made several attempts to contact were grossly overcharged a purchase price more than $3500 without our knowledge or consent, very deceptive. We have made several attempts to contact management with not even the courtesy of a return phone call. This is the most unethical, unlawful and dishonest dealership we have ever dealt with. Unfortunately there are numerous similar reviews that state the same, wish we had read them first. BUYERS BEWARE! More
I have least two vehicles from Dimmitt Chevrolet and use their service. 10 out of 10 in all areas. Lately I see some negative press about a Z06 that they sold at or below market value ($100k over MSRP). I their service. 10 out of 10 in all areas. Lately I see some negative press about a Z06 that they sold at or below market value ($100k over MSRP). I have 2 questions for people that have an issue with this: 1. Dealers adjust price from MSRP daily as part of their life....99.999% BELOW MSRP for about 100 years or so. Now they have a car that they will get 1,2 or 3 of that ANOTHER dealer will pay 100k over MSRP for (or possibly more) ...and they LET a customer have the FIRST car for that at the risk that they will be BELOW market (and that customer may be able to make money on a flip).... and people are upset!? 2. What if they sold it to YOU at MSRP? Will you let the next guy pay you that instead of selling it to a DEALER for 100k profit??? Come on!! Value is value and it doesn't always match MSRP...which is why when supply is normal...you've been generally paying WAY under. I love this dealer and wish I was #1 at MSRP....ID go make $20k on a flip. OVER MSRP= "I'll pay not to wait" that's just free market landing on a number More
