Knowledgeable, Willing to Share I researched cars primarily thru Edmunds.com and Consumer Reports. I read in depth review on about 50 models, and test drove about 10 models. I had pretty well narrowed my choice to a Subaru Outback (including a test drive at another dealer). when I went to Waikem. Erik was by far both the most knowledgeable of the many sales people I spoke with, and the most patient at explaining features and answering questions. He located a car with the options I wanted. When we negotiated a deal, I felt the final price was fair based on research on what others had paid. On the day I picked up the Outback, he spent about 3 hours with me - perhaps 45 minutes on paperwork, but mostly explaining the car and its features. Overall, Erik was probably the best sales person I have worked with, having bought about a dozen cars since 1970. More

It gave us the basic features we wanted for quite a bit off of the MSRP We looked for a car through Consumer Reports Build & Buy Car Buying Service. It gave us the basic features we wanted for quite a bit off of the MSRP and then sent us a certificate at Waikem for the exact car and price. We called Waikem Subaru and talked to Erik Bettinger. I had expected some resistance or attempts to get us to buy an upscale version for more money, but Erik was very receptive to buying a car this way, He actually encouraged it as the best way to get the car we wanted. Erik is VERY professional. He knows the Subaru product and worked to help us get what we wanted. It turned out that Waikem didn't have a manual shift 2.5i Forester available. He found that we could order a 2016 model from the factory for actually less than the Consumer Report's price for a 2015. Waikem gave us a decent price for our well used 2004 and we placed an order. It took a few weeks to have it made and shipped, but Erik kept us informed on the progress. Erik called and told us the car was in, and we were very happy with everything. It is a well designed car with 30+ miles per gallon on the highway. We were very pleased dealing with such a professional Subaru representative as Erik. Waikem is a great company and has great products and people. We recommend them to everyone. More

I have purchased 10 vehicles from Waikem's in the last 17 years and this has been the most satisfying of my experiences. More
