Wonderful low pressure sales experience with Rick Spieth at Diehl Subaru, who was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. When another larger dealer refused to give us a reasonable trade in offer, we dr at Diehl Subaru, who was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. When another larger dealer refused to give us a reasonable trade in offer, we drove an hour to Diehl and it was well worth it. The price of the new vehicle was as good as the bigger dealer near Cleveland and the trade in was definitely better. There were also no mandatory add ons like paint protection or rustproofing like we experienced when helping my brother to buy a car at another nearby Subaru dealer late last year. I would highly recommend Diehl which carries on the Waikem tradition of fair pricing and great customer service More
We bought our new Forester Limited from Diehl of Massillon. Being of the senior citizen age group we really weren't looking forward to all the stress that usually is put on you when you walk into a Massillon. Being of the senior citizen age group we really weren't looking forward to all the stress that usually is put on you when you walk into a dealership. Dealing with our salesperson Jordan Delillo made us feel totally at ease. He explained everything in a manner that we felt like we weren't being rushed into any decisions. All I can say is Diehl is the place to go when you want to deal with a first class dealership. More
I tried to use an official, notarized State of Ohio Power of Attorney (POA) form so we could pick up a car for my niece. Finance Manager Jessica Potts said because my niece wanted me to speak on her behalf, of Attorney (POA) form so we could pick up a car for my niece. Finance Manager Jessica Potts said because my niece wanted me to speak on her behalf, and that I wanted to use the POA form, it raised "red flags". She said the POA form was no good at this dealership. So, despite the fact that I had visited the dealership in person, allowed them to copy my license and sent them a text with my niece's drivers license and insurance form, as well as giving them my credit card number for a deposit, Ms. Potts still thought I was trying to scam them. I'm not sure what else we could have done to prove our identity. A DNA test, perhaps? We were paying for the car with an official check from our credit union, so it's not like we were trying to show up there with a suitcase full of counterfeit cash. Her solution was to have a driver bring the car to us, which the salesman told us earlier they couldn't do. Now magically, they could. We were OK with that, but we didn't want to have to sign the documents electronically in order to try to keep my niece's financial information off an unknown internet app. Of course the numbers on the paper buyer form sent with the driver were incorrect, not reflecting a discount previously agreed upon. Since they don't provide the driver (Marc - who was excellent, by the way) with the means to reprint the documents, my niece now had to do all the signing electronically - the thing we didn't want to have to do. The "corrected" numbers sent electronically now failed to deduct the deposit I had made with my credit card, but Finance Manager Potts insisted they were correct. She brought another gentleman into the phone call to try to help convince us that we were the ones unable to do the simple math. The guy - Matt, I believe, got frustrated and f-bombed us on the call. I don't think he knew he was on speakerphone. As my niece commented - very professional. Ms. Potts finally relented and corrected the paperwork to show credit for the deposit. Never of course, admitting her mistake. We got the car - which itself was OK, but delivery was delayed almost a month while they repaired a broken seat belt latch - a process itself that was frustrating due to poor communication from the salesman, but I won't go into that much here. He was young and friendly - not pushy, so I'll give him credit for that. He just needs to work on the "under promise and over deliver" part of good salesmanship. Overall, had been buying the car for myself, dealing with Finance Manager Potts would have made me walk early on. Buying a car shouldn't be a hassle but my experience with this transaction at this dealership, it definitely was. More

Purchased a new Subaru Crosstrek for my daughter and dealt with Erik Bettinger. Super easy experience. I'm from Columbus, so I called them up and put a deposit on the vehicle because it was still on t dealt with Erik Bettinger. Super easy experience. I'm from Columbus, so I called them up and put a deposit on the vehicle because it was still on the truck. When it came in, drove up to pick it up, they gave me a reasonable offer on the trade-in. Sat down with F&I person and completed the paperwork while Erik sat with my daughter going over all the options and gadgets with her for well over and hour. I know the car dealership mechanics inside and out. Floor plan, Dealer Holdback, incentives, etc., etc. No sleazy sales practices or greaseball approaches. Waikem, I believe, want's you to come back and buy from them in the future. More
I went to Waikem Subaru to look. I had read that they were one of the safest cars to drive, and at my older age, this was important. I also wanted a car that I could see out of without having to sit were one of the safest cars to drive, and at my older age, this was important. I also wanted a car that I could see out of without having to sit on a cushion. I explained to the salesman, Rick Spieth, an idea of what I wanted and he had me drive two different versions of the Subaru. There was no salesman pressure. I decided on the car, and then the features I wanted. My car was in transit, and as soon as it was available, I went to pick it up. Rick made sure that I understood the features of the car. He went over all the settings and made sure they were set where I wanted. He even offered to come to my house and set my garage door opener if my husband or I couldn’t get it set. All the staff at Waikem were friendly and knowledgeable. They even set me up an appointment to return to re-review all the features in a couple of weeks. Most dealers would just say thank you, take my money, shake my hand, and send me on the way. Not Waikem Subaru, And not Rick Spieth. I am totally impressed and will recommend him, and Waikem Subaru, to any of my friends Interested in an excellent, very safe, car. More
